  1. There were two rigs used on this. An old 3a for most of it and a MK-V Nexus with gyros soft mounted from the side door of a van for the rest. I think the operator said that they used Reds when he returned my Nexus and gyro set.
  2. Yeah quality always does cost a little more. But what is that worth when your M One is out of action for months waiting for repair? However if your mind is already made up I have a spare BFD M One set that I was thinking of selling.
  3. There is a third way now that brings the best of both together. The Axis1 is digital, has auto calibration and the motor is stronger and faster than the M One without the service headache. Just a thought. Cheers
  4. Have you looked at the Tango? Compatible with your Phantom but limited on weight capacity.
  5. Hi Michael You are definitely better off with 24v. The Alexa is very thirsty in 12v. I can run it for over 4 hours in 24v in the AR with 2 GMP190ah batteries. Less than an hour in 12v.
  6. Actually ended up building my own. It looks very similar to Charles' one and functions very well for less than half the cost of the kvitko one but thanks anyway
  7. I'm having a cleanout and have an adapter to convert the socket pin that comes with the Provid and SK etc to enable it to be converted to a standard socket block. I was going to convert and upgrade an old SK2 that had for my students but sold the rig last year and no longer need it. Make me an offer martin@adrenochrome.co.nz
  8. I'm cleaning out my workshop and have and old female socket block that I used to use as a hard mount but no longer need. It has been broken in the past and welded. It looks a little rough but is fully functional and works fine. Make me an offer. martin@adrenochrome.co.nz
  9. I'm having a cleanout and have some spare parts to get rid of out of my workshop. This is a laser cut socket spar that can be used as a replacement on a vest or as the basis of a hard mount. Make me an offer martin@adrenochrome.co.nz
  10. I'd like to see photos of the condition of your gimbal after that shoot. If it's not broken it will most likely be bent. Your arm may lift it but I wouldn't guarentee that your gimbal will do the same. Could be an expensive mistake when it snaps and the camera is laying on the floor in peices. Don't do it!!!
  11. Maybe Peter Hoare might want to chip in here as his Axis 1 motor is fully compatable with the digital Bartec as well.
  12. Bought for a friend of mine who then changed his mind on steadicam as a career it became my back up. It has seen only 5 hours use total. $4000. martin@adrenochrome.co.nz
  13. Ok, so this has taken a bit longer than I hoped but I got rather busy in the months leading up to and including Xmas but I've finally managed to put a 12v version together and am about to Beta test it this weekend. If all goes well then all of those that have contacted me about buying one, I will hopefully have some good news for you.
  14. I've had a fair amount of interest but no firm offers yet. $5250 with free shipping
  15. I've often thought modifying something like this would make a nice monitor mount.
