Hello, I purchased I new gimbal and I have problem to static balance. While at first time, is easy to balance in one sled direction respect the horizon, if I rotate the sled 180 degrees, the sled is not balanced respect the horizon. This is, is not balanced in the 360 degrees of the pan movement. For this reason, it´s impossible to make a good dynamic balance. What could be the problem? because the gimbal is brand new. Hello, do anybody know the correct distribution of the pins number in the Hirose connector of the ProVid monitor (year 1995)? Frank and Kyle from Tiffen, sent me yesterday the diagrams with the assignation pin: 1.- BLACK (GND) 2.- Video - 3.- Video + 4.- RED (V+) The problem is that I can´t see the numbers in the Hirose connector. Michael, you don´t lift all the sled weight with your arm. The Steadicam arm lift the most of the weight and you help to lift the rest up to the desired headroom position to avoid the "step" effect in the frame. Nacho

Hello again, I think the problem it´s in the way you take the gimbal handle when you walk forward. Do you notice more walking forward than backward? Think, that when you walk back, you tend to pull from the gimbal with the position hand and when you walk forward, you push with this hand. The problem is to push the gimbal. Try the following. Rotate your body a little more frontal from the sled and with the position hand, try to pull the gimbal and not push, lifting a little your elbow. It isn´t a natural way for walking but it works. Think, that the way you walk is very important too. Yo must try to make soft steps with a foot on the other. I see that you tried the arm with the tension in the middle of the boom range. Try to loose the springs a little more (about 10 degrees under horizontal bones), lift the arm to the headroom with your position hand, and will work even better for slow steps. Hi guys, for the Sachtler Artemis arm, that is a IIIA style arm, non-isoelastic, a simple and "logic" rule. Lower frequency steps, requires less tension spring and high frequency steps requires more tension spring. After that, you must adjust the height of the bones depend of the headroom, but always, you will need help the arm with a little force from your position hand, lifting the arm to the ideal tension springs. I extract the following from my PAG MC-124 charger: The Recovery Charge Program: Batteries which have been over-discharged may be rejected by the charger and indicated as faulty: batteries in this condition are unsuitable for fastcharging. To overcome this the MC124 incorporates an ancillary Recovery Charge program. The selector switch for this program is located on the front panel. After a period of one hour the MC124 automatically enters the fast-charge program which will run until the battery is fully charged. If a battery is severely faulty, and has not responded to treatment by the Recovery Charge program, it will be indicated as faulty when the fast-charge program is entered and will not be charged. Yellow shark? What is your name? In concern of Steadyrig Silverspring arm. YES, it´s a real alternative to the PRO arm. I don´t say better because they´are different arm designs and the price range it´s different. The steadyrig arm cost about $12.000 (check with Dean or Hugo from Steadyrig for prices) vs around $20.000 for PRO arm. Definitively, if you´re looking a IIIA style arm, is the best arm you will find on the market. It´s perfect engineered, made with the best materials and modern CNC machines. With regard to isoelasticity, as I know, depends of the pulleys distribution design, and the silverspring arm is a IIIA design non-isoelastic arm. Personally, I like much more the feel of these non-isoelastic arms than the isoelastics like Ultras. Nacho

My arm is a refurbished IIIA arm, not the SilverSpring Steadyrig arm but they made a great job and it looks, feels and sound like a brand new IIIa arm. Like you, I own a provid arm and you will see the big difference from the first time. Think that the Silverspring arm is a IIIA arm but, more precise, better made, stronger, great weight range (13 to 63lbs), friction free arm post and lots of improvements over the original arm, knowing that the original CP IIIA performed very well in the past and actually.
