  1. Many Steadicam users are also Ronin II owners and/or operators. The need for a 24V port to operate the newer style cameras has become indispensable. Lentequip has designed a DIY kit to upgrade your Ronin to 24V. If you have any questions, please contact us. Lentequip.com Blog Link
  2. For those of you wishing that there was a more intelligent P-Tap, we are pleased to introduce our new SafeTap connector. A first Power Tap style connector that incorporates a built-in computer into the connector housing. Please read about this new device here: http://lentequip.com/safetap We will be at NAB 2015 in the Band Pro booth demonstrating this new wonder. Look forward to seeing you there. Emery
  3. Thank you all for your comments and opinions. If any of you need further assistance or would like any specific questions to be answered, I'd be happy to do so through my company's channels - we are almost always open and get back to you as quickly as possible. This topic is never as clear cut as it would appear, suffice to say that I am in touch with many of my CanaTrans users, rental houses etc... and they pretty much all tell me the same thing over and over again, and that is that they are still using their CanaTrans' because it will transmit where most other HD systems fail. And it will do it at a price point that will still allow rental houses to put it on jobs and have it make money while fulfilling the vital video assist link. The beauty of VHF/UHF channels is propagation and the new CanaTrans White Space exploits the even better VHF spectrum to go further than its predecessor. The CanaTrans White Space is a very complex device, possibly the most complex piece we have ever created here at Lentequip. Since introducing it officially only a few weeks ago we already have a half a dozen units on various productions here in North America and in Europe. The feedback thus far has been as I had hoped - fantastic. I look forward to helping past and future Lentequip and Canatrans customers with any questions or assistance you may require. Emery Lentequip Inc.
  4. HI Michael; We are one of the few in North America that stock the Canare L1.5C2VS "spaghetti" BNC cable. You can have what ever length you want. Regards, Emery Lentequip Inc.
  5. Just a quick note here to let you know that Lentequip will be launching its new receiver for the CanaTrans in a few weeks. It is currently in production with the first units to come on-line soon. The receiver will be called Tandem and has been in development for over 2 1/2 years. We opted not to use commonly available receiver "modules" due to their lack of performance, instead we designed our own receiver circuitry for unparalleled sensitivity and features (details will be on the webpage). We are in the process of ramping up production as fast as we can. The list of CanaTrans customers awaiting the receiver is quite long and most of our first run units are already spoken for. If you are interested in being notified, send us a quick e-mail or visit our website for details - the Tandem page will be posted as soon as the first units become available. I will have the unit at CineGear in Los Angeles for those who would like a hands-on demonstration. All CanaTrans power cables will of course be compatible with the Tandem. Best regards to all, Emery
  6. Sorry, But, why Know comente here. willie I do not check the Forum every day (once or twice a month perhaps). For quick reply, please address your questions to my company directly: http://lentequip.com/contactus/contactus.html Thank you.

  8. Thx for the info. I am not sure if it works wih pal transmitters. Emery, help me out here please? Job; I spoke to Sam at Avalon last week - he told me that they make a PAL version of their DX receivers upon request. Maybe you would like to get in touch with them directly? www.avalonrf.com
  9. Dear Operators; Lentequip is pleased to introduce it's new docking bracket. Details are available at: http://www.lentequip.com/products/pma.htm
  10. It's Emery :) (not Eremy) No worries - see how RF gets so easily complicated.
  11. Please remember one thing in this dsicussion - it's NOT the problem of the receiver - it's a problem with the transmitter NOT transmitting at the correct PAL frequency steps, hence the "special" order which is intended to conpensate for it. If your transmitter would transmit the correct PAL frenquencies it would be compatible with ALL the receiving equipment in your country WITHOUT modification. It's unfortunate when you have to "tweak" your system to compensate for the lack of standards that should be adhered too in the first place. It also makes it difficult when you get a transmitter on set that DOES transmit on the correct channels and then try to match it with a "modified" receiver.
  12. Absolutely not! The increments are different. Without getting into a lenghty discussions here I would be happy to share some of the similar problems others have had in regards to this issue - notwithstanding possible other video issues you "may" be having? Hence once again the beauty of a customized look-up table for the specific country or continent as it may be.
  13. Yes and yes. The European PAL frequencies are not the same as the North American. IN fact not all PAL countries are alike either! It poses problems when you think you set a specific channel number on the transmitter (Modulus) and hope to pick it up on the same channel on the PAL TV for instance. To do this correctly the transmitter should have different frequency look-up tables depending on the country it was sold too. The CanaTrans addresses this problem nicely and accounts for the different frequencies to which the unit is sold. Thought you would like to know in light of your question.
  14. Right you are Brad! We do that stuff all the time. If you do not have a suitable charger may I humbly suggest ours that is being used worldwide in rental, steadicam ops etc. Regards
  15. You can use our quick smart charger that will charge two batteries at once in about 2.5 hours. http://www.lentequip.com/products/smartcharger.htm
