Hi guys! I'm sure Howards V2 is worth waiting for but I think the only alternative is Chrosziels Sunbird! I think it's the same panel but with a different software...wonderful frameline, the possibility to ad a digital level and a direct in/out (incl 5v) for the archos! I've had it for about 2 month now (on my MK-V Nexus) and it's the best I've seen so far! You can check it out under www.anthrazit-design.com cheers, Guido Lux

Hi Brett! I tried the trailer version...! To unsafe for me! For slow moves Ok but if you were t go any faster than 20KPH there's no way I'd sit on the trailer!! It's also very importand to be able to talk to the driver of the skidoo!!! And for the cables: the cameras are wireless! There's no way you could do it on a triax! Need more pics or help with the setup!? MAil me! cheers, Guido "waiting for the snow" Lux

Hi Markus! I'm a german op and I think there are more ops in germany than you think! Some do only film, some only tv & video and then there are some (like me) who do both! First tip: don't do it for the money!!! It's one of the best and fun jobs in the world but you have to do it cause you love it!! Sure, you make a little more than a "regular" cameraman but that shouldn't be you main motivation! Second tip: there are some good ops in austria but there's not too much work there! You can try to get into the german market but you'll have to fight hard because there are a couple of very good ops here and they will not just give there jobs to a newbee from austria! It took me quite some time to get where I am now! I do between 15 and 25 days a month! You have to love the job to take the weight day after day! Third tip: TAKE YOUR TIME!!! Take a workshop!!!!! Then practice,practice....! I thought I was doing great after a year....when I look at the stuff today....I can't believe people booked me ever again!! So practice all you can! Try to get a cheap rental sled to practice or find someone who lets you borrow his....!Save some more money and get a fairly decent used rig! It's going to be hard to find a decent sled for the 2 -3k?'s the you are willing to spend right now! Want some more tips don't hesitate to mail me or give me a call! Hope I was of any help!? cheers, Guido Lux lux@steadic.am

Too bad I can't be there but I instead I had my first day of shooting with my own AR!! It was great but a little heavy after 17 hours and switching cameras two times! So much for practicing setting up my AR...! But here's a great picture I want you guys to see... Guido "T4" Lux

All I can tell you guys is, he will send you a quote and that its very worth waiting for it! I've gotten my Nexus 2 weeks ago and it's the best sled I've ever flown! So try and save the money before you go to IBC! Cuz once you've tried it, you won't settle for less! cheers, Guido "just waiting for my AR" Lux

As anyone seen the new Scorpio Hand Unit?
Guido Lux replied to Frederic Chamberland's topic in Follow Focus
Thanx Fred, but I always found very hard to wait til x-mas!I wrote Pedro yesterday and I'm very curious what he tells me! Maybe I can get some "inside info"...! If so, u'll will be the first to know! So lets keep us up to date! Guido "still lookin' for new toys and can't wait" Lux -
Rob, it was equipped with one but not with a bubble! In order to use the electronic bubble(which I really like) from chrosziel you have to have their frameliner! Oh, and to get dynamic balance I put the nice big black steel weight under the monitor! That's my way to make it work! But my master is hanging on my office wall. It's only my backup now! Guido "hope I never need backup" Lux

Hi Zoomers! The cable on the Zoe is way to thick! It's about 5x the size of the Preston cable! If the Prestons electronicbox would be half the size, it'd be perfect! Guido "zooming away" Lux
