  1. During 4 years we worked with 6 trimpacs & 2 hytron 120, and flew all kind of cameras (SR, BL, 235, 435, Arricam, HD, Silicon 2K etc) If the camera is heavy, we use 2 trimpac and a Hytrion 120. We never had a problem. The only thing is: trimpacs are widht than a Hytron or dionics, and you can touch the Trimpac with your leg when you are operating. Anyway, you can touch the batteries untill the director and DoP say to you for 2nd time: -What happens? Once again the same thing? ;) and you will learn to work with the sled a little bit far from your leg... Best to all, Gus

  4. Hi Juan I agree with you, and with BJ. Maybe you can do a reel "with faces" as you did, and put some steadicam shots without effects too in order to see all the shot. De primera. Gran abrazo, Gus
  5. Hi guys, Im shooting in 10 days 1 week with the same camera. Yesterday I went to see it working on a set, and I saw that I won´t have any video signal for my monitor... If someone tried with an adaptor and it worked, please send me an email or please post the info. Definitly, is not my favourite camera... Best to all, Gus
  6. Hi guys If is possible, I`d like to have the EFP manual in PDF or Word too. If some of you can, please send me an email with. steadifilm@yahoo.com Thanks in advance, Gus
  7. ...and I rotated the Top Stage in order to have the Camera power in back position... I hope that help. Best to all, Gus.
  8. I changed the Allen of telescopic Post for a "free tool"...
  9. Hi All Yesterday I took some pictures of the Baer Bel 2" FiberPost.
  10. Hi All Last week I was working with the new model of Baer Bel. I am very happy with the equipment. I was working with BL's cameras & HD, and I had no problem to get Dinamic Balance. The gimbal is really smooth. Maybe is not the most beautifull Gimbal, but is v-e-r-y Solid, and I can rebalancing the same as an EFP or Artemis. On the gimbal and in the telescopic inner Post you have to use Allen wrench, but I changed the Allen for No tool screwes. The top stage the same, I have to use Allen wrench. I didn't find yet a "No tool screw", but I will change it. The top stage is very solid. No vibration and a long Dovetail with 15 or 19mm rods. I rotated the Top stage in order to have the Camera Power back, and not on the side. (I did it because I thought I can touch with my shoulder the XRL4 canon) Well. I don't know how was the Baer Bel before, but now a day is great. The only thing that I don't like is the Docking Bracket. I miss my Jerry Hill... In a few month I will buy a new one for 2" Best to all, Gus PS I use Artemis or Walter Klassen Vest, and IIIA or Artemis Arm. I haven't opinion about Baer Bel Vest or Arm.
  11. Hi Edd Last week I bought a new Baer Bel 2" Fiberpost model. Beautifull equipment. If you want, I can send you some pictures or some info about it. Send me an email. 17. I bought a Benz 5000 Follow Focus to Mr Ben Fisher February 2004 (and paid 10,000 dollars) After waiting the equipment almost 1 year, In his last e-mail recived, Ben Fisher told me: -"take it easy Gus, I am anodizing it. It will be beautyfull" I don´t know what kind of anodize Ben Fisher is doing, but after almost 4 years anodizing my Benz 5000, I hope it will be nice... Take care my friends... Gus.
  18. Hi Bryan I bought some of them in Jerry Hill for the Socket block. www.steadimoves.com Best regards, Gus
  19. Hi Dan Yesterday I worked for first time under the rain with a Rain deflector. I used an HD camera with a Spintec Rain Deflector: http://www.spintec.co.il/ Very VERY light. (If you have direct sound, maybe is a little bit noise) I tried to power the Rain deflector with the camera aux power (hirose 4), but the battery (Sony BP)couldn´t powered the camera and the Rain Deflector. Finally I powered the Rain Deflector with the sled. My advices are: -Rain cover for all the equipment and use plastic wrap too. -a Big Towell for you -A good hairdryer to dry the equipment if you have some problem on set. Best to all, Gus
  20. Time ago Job was offering his Steadi. Ask him about.
  21. Hi Lars: Cages is not the better option. I always was kicking it. I use Jerry Hill Brackets ( www.steadimoves.com ) but in case of to buy a cage, I think a Baer-bel is a v-e-r-y good option. http://www.baer-bel.de/ Weeks ago a Germany operator was filming in Buenos Aires and I saw his Baer-Bel sushi server. The cage works very good, the price is not expensive but I think only fit HD & SR Cameras. Best regards, Gus
