  1. Love your 3D printing work! Which printer did you use and which material?
  2. The CW-7 is the new generation of Chipset. Helldiver isn't a word.
  3. powering options, protective casings, or any accessories that I know of? What does that mean? What accessories? Powering options is a 4pin XLR. Protective casings.... ? huh? I understand you think that paralinx modules and the service is great. Will the Tomohawk have the larger or smaller chipset and will it be the newer version recently released. Does anyone know what advatages the larger chipset has over the USB stick chipset.
  4. Whats better in a side by side test? Panalinx or a IDX CW7 Does the larger Amion chipset and bigger antenna array make a difference? Which Amion Chipset will the Tomohawk have? The new new one? Will there be options to put larger receiver antennas onto it?
  5. Sure. You could have a range of standard aluminium cross-sections or struts machined up somewhere and place them into your objects. Maybe even embedded into your objects. This becomes very interesting. With equal hole spacing through the aluminium. Like long aluminium ice cream sticks with lots of m4 holes drilled through. Always trying to place one of these at every attachment point. There are interesting developments in Nylon-ABS polymers. Taulman say they are going to build a non-pliable version of the 618-Nylon which I think is the one aimed at items planned for use. Thanks for Pioneering!
  6. Super Interesting. So would you say 3D printing is strong enough yet to make those plates that will hold a battery? The dovetail thickness can't be huge. Would you use a 3D print to hold say a Preston MDR onto a sled nose? A 5.6 inch TV logic to a Preston Handset? I assume stronger materials being developed for these things. This site is interesting. With all the 3D printing materials that are available: http://i.materialise.com/materials Thanks Ben for a super interesting post!
  7. Looks great. Yeah, I worry about the lack of thread holes but this might be a prototype model. I hope they put a big red button on that reset switch.
  8. It looks very sexy and it certainly looks like it will work on any Sled/monitor combination? When is the release date?
  9. Can you speak to Curt Schaller at Satchler? I understand he can make you one? Fact or fiction? Is it any good?
  10. I've seen some directors operate handheld and be quite good.
  11. Hey Lemo Connector, It is the policy here to only use your real names on the forum. That way when we talk about people behind their backs whilst drinking beer in various bars, trade shows and strip clubs we know we are talking about the same person and they aren't whithin earshot.
  12. You seem to have carved out a hideously dangerous niche for yourself in the film industry! Good work though!
  13. Been reading some of your literature. How do you get 4ft of boom out of it? Is it not limited to the book of your arm?
  14. Is this unit going to work for that kind of naturalistic handheld work we do so much in music videos and commercials? i.e. not on a tracking vehicle. Where the easyrig is a little too sloppy and un-precise in its framing. Looking forward to seeing the more photos. Thomas
  15. So can the operator or the grip slow or speed the thing up or slow it down?
  16. Do you operate off this thing in a "SteadiStatic" or is it for your spotter to hold onto and pass you over between shots to rest up? Is it compatible with the Hill dock rings?
  17. Whats the price point and with what segway? Total cost from zero to hero? Looks good... balloon tyres?
  18. So far so good! Very impressed. Taking it out on its first proper job tomorrow.
  19. I think the next Alexa will be the body size of s 416 with far less power consumption than an Epic. I think that body will still be in use in 5 years.
  20. What does that even mean these days? Too Cinematic?
  21. I have one of those Sears red cases in my workshop and yes... it is terrible as a 2 man lift and very terrible as a one man lift. Remember it easily has extra 15kg minimum of stuff in there
  22. Mix and match to the point of Satchler base and Satchler base electronics with Pro top electronics? This is an incredible development no? So for those out there that like their Pro with XCS post and Gimble this is another option huh?
  23. Eric... Satchler is PRO compatible? Does that mean that you can use the Satchler post and Gimble on the pro Base and electronics/topstage ? Does that mean you can swap between the regular Satchler post and the Satchler super post on said parts? Wow!
