Hi Brian first off all read your manual and paly with the air bladder With the back mounted vest you are using some different muscles than the front mounted vest so you need time (for make strong this muscles) i remember that i also have a pain in my back in the start and i had the same stress (is the hardness mach with me ,maybe wrong measurement?)after a week of work you forget that pain and you will love your hardness like no other part of your equipment Fly safe George

  10. hi as for the pulley and the rig for the model shop it work great i have focus in all the dv but it works only with manual callibration of lens (bartech) and you can understand why i will have photos as soon as the script e-mail it to me . as for the ff with servos , i have made it in the past the unit work great with video lenses , the secret is to change the reference resistance(pontesiometre) but if you want my opinion Bartech is the way to go i will come back with photos P.S. the standom cranes use the r/c servo for focus (always video lens)
  11. Hi i also have in my mind a new arm (always thinking the pro arm ) The g 70 look like a good alternative and a way to save some euros or $ (i want to believe ,still wait the price) as i have read for g 70(unfortunly i was not in ibc this year)it look like a good and fine part off equipment ,but the pro is tested many years now in the market ,the g 70 is just new so you will take the risk to test it and have an opinion after some years all the best

  15. i believe that 6 days (all day) is a big problem specially if that continoues after a month ! Talk with producer and with director and explain that its not possible one operator to work every day for more than three weeks with that cameras (iam sure that they don't want either to stop the moovie either to change operator in the midle (for health problems )and off cource iam sure that you want to keep operating steadicam after this work ! Fly safe
  16. Hey Guys I prefer to let the producer try alone .....and always say to him Ohh ....its so simble ... ok ok its just a joke , Try a UHF receiver with preset channels
  17. hi Guys Triangle good luck ,cool and don't be nervus ,buy a triax adaptor and believe me you will love triax (specially if you meet multi)more than any other cable ,but you will always hate cables. Jason Good luck to you also! You will find that film cameras fly better than video(specially when film running ,make things more easy ) you will love it (no cables ) Fly safe
  18. hi i have a baer bell arm if you are interesting please e mail me
  19. hi i remember this problem some yeares before, when i was fly an sk , the monitor is off and you see a white horizontal line for a second ? when you take over the cover you will see a tranzistor with a figerator (an aluminum part) in the center off the monitor this piece make artct with the covr and switch off the monitor(specially when it is on for a long time) just push it litle down ,so to be sure it will never make junction with the cover again good luck (you will need ,if i remember good ,stars screw drivers for remove the cover )
  20. hi Ramon my sugestion is to change the socket block ,don't risk it ,it look like that you will change it soon or later so do it now to avoid any problem in the future ,and of cource change your steering screws in the female socket block Fly safe ! ! !
  21. now the rig is all tool free ,and its marvelus and lightweight ,but i believe that the gimbal it loose after a 180 turn ,and the arm is still too heavy and old style ,the vest is marvelus, try baer bell am !
  22. Hi Guys Thanks for the advices, special thanks to Larry. I use to make litle circle travelling (in an angle off 35degrees) and verry slow track in and out but the problem is that sometimes the time i must stay in the actor is much more than the track so i have to make again track out-in or travel back and i hate that bechause i dont like to make a movement and take it back (specially withaout reason ),for the moment i see it like a good workshop for very very slow movement, its a competition with myself for the slowest t and smoothest movement i can do
  23. Hi guys i have start a new tv serial project the problem is that the director hate any locked frame so imagine that even the tripod shots must be shake and NEVER lock the head in the serial (85% steadicam shoots)when i must finished in a frame like an actor ,(here is the problem )ask for me to make litle pans and tilts so i never lock the frame )i steal him with litle track in and track out . is this job big problem for me (i can not work in other productions ,bechause i work in this project five days a week for the next 6 months )
