  1. Hi Cine Live owners.. What is everyone powering off their 12/24 3 pin lemo connectors on the Cine Live? Other than the BFD or Preston up front of course. I presently power my BFD with one wired for 12 volts. But what would folks recommend also having made? 3 pin to Female D Tap? What is the Amp limit on cables plugged there as opposed to the much larger 3 pin CAM Pwr connector? Ozzie
  2. This head is made for twin Mitchell BNCR's in a 3D configuration!....240lbs! How much are these things new?
  3. Hi Jens, That would work if there was a lower stage Tally Out connector on the CineLive. Or I guess I can get a few custom Monitor Y cables made that have an 8 pin on one side and an 8 pin AND a Sub D connector on the other to plug into the J002..... Decisions, Decisions.... Or maybe another monitor all together, The stabilizer expo is just around the corner, who knows what will be available... Another thing that I've wanted for a while would be a NEW Monitor connector... One that would have a coax in it, so it would be one cable with 1 HD line in it and the SD line can be just as before on the smaller pins. This would have to be industry wide, but easy enough I would venture to think. Monitor manufacturers would have to incorporate it in their monitors as well, but boy would it make life simpler.
  4. OK... here is the tests I performed today. Went over to John Perry's sled, a Phantom V with a Cinemonitor HD8, his tally is being triggered just fine thru the 8 pin Accesory plug. I unplug his 8 pin lemo cable and HD feed, and plug it into my Cinemonitor HD6.....Nothing, Doesn't even power up, NADA. We flip the cable from the 12V mode to the 24v mode,(Tiffen thing, I didn;t even know of this possibility) and still nothing....doesn't even power up my monitor. Now I try My 8 pin lemo cable on his sled to my monitor, Turns the monitor on just fine, but no tally, either in high or low., So I'm thinking monitor... Now I want to test my Cine Live, so I plug His monitor to My Cine Live with my cable, turns on just fine, It triggers the tally up on the sensor to turn on and stay on.. So I have yet to get my sled to trigger a Tally light on a Transvideo monitor. So far I've tried it with 2 Transvideo HD8 Evolution and one Transvideo HD6 Classic version and nothing... .......... Luckily I still have a Peter Abraham Tally that's worked fine for 10 years for when I use the Cine Live. But for now, the Cine Live will just chill in the closet. The prolite HD has a lower stage Tally only lemo that I can just plug in an LED and velcro it to the monitor, I just rather use the option that's wired into the sled....if I can get it to work. Going to drive like 2.5 hours next week to meet up with an operator who has a Cine Live and terry west Sensor cable and a Transvideo HD8 that does work to test out some stuff again. here's to tenacity and a never give up attitude!...Oh BOY!
  5. Alrighty then... Seems there is something in the Monitor that back feeds power to the 8 pin Lemo. I am getting varying voltage from the Monitor out Lemo on the sled itself, depending how much light it put to the sensor cable on the top stage. So that's working. I plug my cables into my gen 1 Cinetronic which does not have a tally and the top sensor cable with attached LED lights works as it should up top. But when I plug the Transvideo HD6 Classic monitor into it, the top LED lights stay lit, no matter if the sensor is covered or not. so as Chris mentioned there is voltage from the monitor going to the Pin 8 or even 7, I'll have to check and see. stay tuned.
  6. I do believe that Many many HD6 and HD8 in the Evolution line are working fine with the Cine Live. As far as I have been told, the Classic was not set up to work with the Tally being triggered via the 8 pin lemo accessory port. That is why I went and found an HD8 transvideo evolution to test it out. It may be the cable, and it may be the monitor, I doubt it's the Cine Live. I'll know more Monday afternoon as I'll be testing the Cinelive with a couple of monitors hopefully. My Transvideo HD6 monitor was at GPI for a month or more and it was not working over there, so I had it sent back. I just want to see that My Sled transfers the signal to another transvideo monitor, or even a smalHD monitor. It will be solved, I'm confident of that. Today I will try testing the signal out of pins 7 and 8 on the sled when the sensor up above is active to see what's happening.
  7. I wish my Transvideo HD6 Classic Tally worked ith my CineLive. I do believe it's my Monitor as I'm told by the folks at Transvideo that the Cinemonitor HD6 Classic could not function with the tally being triggered via the 8 pin lemo connector unless it was modified. I shipped my HD6 Classic ( Blue knob) to Transvideo. they worked on it, updated some software, wired some stuff up and shipped it back very quickly I might ad and at no charge. Still nothing. I just recently tried a Transvideo Evolution series HD8 with the cine live and nothing. no Tally, The top stage sensor that terry made works fine, It has a Sensor and two LED's, that part of it works perfect. The moment I plug any of the Lemo 8 to Lemo 8 cables terry recently made me from the Cine Live to the monitor either the HD8 Evolution or HD6 Classic) and flip the On/Off switch on the rear of the monitor...The Tally lights connected up on the top stage turn on and stay on, no matter what setting is on the monitors or if the sensor is covered or exposed. Been playing with this for MONTHS. I'm trying it out with a couple of other Monitors this next week to eliminate the cine live sled and electronics from the equation. If I can't get it resolved I'm flying to LA with everything until it gets resolved, My Cine Live sled is great I love the way it handles and flies, but I cant use it for anything LIVE. On my Prolite HD I have a lower base connector as a Tally Out, so I just plug in a cable with a red LED at the end of it, and velcro it to the monitor anywhere. That works fine, but I rather use the Internal Tally in the Monitor. And on the Cine Live there is no Lower stage tally out option to do this. very frustrating.... I'll make the rounds and visit PRO, Transvideo, Terry and Cinetronic and I'm sure with everyones collective brain power it will get resolved. Just sucks it will cost $800 in flights and a rental car and time to get it fixed.
  8. Thats an oldie!. when that first came out we had a field day with it. Seems to be a stock photo that was sold to different companies, one was an insurance agency ( Not Walter Dolle). There are several variations of that photo.
  9. Just to cycle them, I powered a Transvideo Cinemonitor HD6 with one, Tally on and Waveform on, brightness at 100%, it took 7 hours to give me a battery warning, both batteries were the same. These batteries are still in great shape. well cared for. $300 for BOTH shipped 2 day Priority USPS.in the continental US.
  10. To folks who saw the Gold Mount versions in person. Do the new batteries have a D Tap on them? I couldn't tell from the pics I've seen or on the Video of the V Mount versions linked above. It does not look like they do, but just checking here with folks who have actually seen them in person. Thanks
  11. One cool thing I saw done on this season of La Voz kids for Telemundo was the reality crew was shooting with 2 ENG cameras mostly, each camera had a Teradek, I believe the 155 model WIFI transmiter, then the other cameraperson had a small arm holding their phone out next o the mattebox, facing back to the operator where they were able to see what the other camera op was doing, so both camera ops would not have the same shot. Worked as if they had a return monitor. With this new system, on a multi camera shoot each camera op could possibly have the same thing watching what the other cams are shooting and lessen the chances of having the same shot.

  13. I wonder if an HC which is in the mid 300's cost mid 3000's when purchased by the medical field? I have inquired what a new set of 150wh batts and the new charger cost..you know, to be cool with the new kids on set these days. I have seen AVS 160WH gold mount batteries with a D-Tap AND a USB 5V outlet right on the batteries. I wonder if these new ones have any of that?
  14. I second the need for a Cam-Jam Yoke for the Cinetronic Gen 1.. Love the rigidity and adjust ability of the cam jam. Great product! Ozzie
  15. Will, Those are very awesome, rugged, and cheap. I have a set with a Marshall 7" hi rez Directors Monitor with the Paralinx receiver and an AB plate on the back, all wrapped in a Portabrace that fits the Marshall while still inside the Ikan handles. Ozzie
  16. Got the Female D tap, and the XLR4F, now just the Alexa 24V remains, But looking USED, not new because of price. No hurry if you have something email. Ozzie
  17. OK, so in a gated area between 1:30am and 6:30am. Ask the neighbors with windows closest to the vehicle if they remember hearing anything and if so, at what time? Is there a pass code to get in there, or do folks have those barcode stickers on their cars to get access to the gated area? Were there any other cars vandalized or burglarized that same evening? if not, chances are they followed you from wherever you packed your gear. Keep searching for clues, we'll keep an ear and ear out for you. and PS, a nice sled like a Shadow V should be Engraved professionally, that will keep it from being easily sold. Sure the Thief may in turn just toss it, but at least there is no satisfaction for the thief to be able to make a buck off it. Good luck
  18. List Everything that was stolen. Where it was stolen from, not just the city, Exact location, vehicle, etc.., Was it in a car, in a house, where was it parked, are there businesses nearby that may have security cameras, even if the cameras are inside the business, they may be pointing outside, Leave no stone un turned. What department filled out the police report? A stolen sled can usually only be used by the thief or someone else who will always know it's stolen and never be able to get it serviced, it's not like there are even 1000 Shadow V's out there. Good luck on your search and recovery! Ozzie
  19. Mine was just under $600 I believe for a 7ft one from Phoenix. they quoted 2 weeks and I got it in 3 days. ( Experience is unique or semi unique, your shipping experience may vary) I chose 7ft, because of the way I run the cable and also I sometimes use a Back Mount vest and it has a great socket holder in the back to hold the junction between the Thick cable and the Fiber Jumper and that holder bracket is behind me at my waist so I needed to have the extra length.
  20. Blake, I'm sure with the specs and dimensions from the McMaster site you can find an aircraft pin manufacturer/ supplier in AU. Let us know if you dont find one over there and need one of us to receive the Pin and then put it in the post for you, you just cover shipping and whatever paypal fees for getting the funds over to someone in the US.
