  1. Hi Folks, For sale is a 2" Gore lock style bracket with 2 (two) 2" docking rings. This is for 2" posts. These were made by Cinewidgets a while back before Jerry made the 2" version. The fork is in excellent shape, one ring is new and the other is used with wear marks. Pictures are attached. Paypal preferred. $400 includes Fork, both rings, and shipping in the US. Any purchase to be shipped outside of the US is shipping extra. I will get the rate to ship and let you know before anything ships. osvaldosilvera@aol.com
  2. Well Mark, I think I need to take those plates to a machine shop again. Here are some of the weights. The Ikegami weighed 21 ounces befre and 20 ounces afterwards. Not too much, but oh well. I think I can take another ounce off it but just have to make the time to look at it closely. On the Sony plate VT-14, you'll have to help me out on this one. I only have mine to weigh and it's 24 ounces as it stands. If you can weigh yours or a newer syle VT-14 we should know the difference. There is a bit of room to remove some more aluminum from the Sony plate. So that one can drop maybe another ounce. quote name='Mark Schlicher SOC' timestamp='1317443463' post='69674'] Ozzie, Love to hear the results. With the Zephyr, ounces count....but dollars count, too!

  4. Mark, I recently took my Sony plate to a Hot Rod buddy who has a Mill and He milled off a deep channel on both sides, and 4 shorter channels on the bottom to drop a few ounces. I'm going to compare weight of mine and another Sony plate in the next week to find out exactly what was dropped, but I would think it's at least 4-5 ounces. And the cost....$20, He said $10, I gave $20 and left happy, PS, He also milled off 2 channels on my Ikegami plate. Just some info for you. I didn't want to spend $800 US plus shipping to save 16 ounces. Ozzie
  5. Ill take it, Text me, I'm on the set. 3052168395 Ozzie
  6. Hi, Other battery systems and designs may be growing in popularity, but an Anton Bauer battery can be found in the deepest most hidden corners of the earth!. If you travel to a bunch of different places, Anton Bauer will be to most common type of broadcast battery, Their customer support is excellent and their batteries are in one word... RELIABLE. I have always used Anton Bauer batteries on jobs where I bring my own power. I've had the same charger for about 10 years, and before that I had a lifesaver charger for another 10 years, Sold it still working as it should. Even though the other AB mount knock off batteries are good and alot cheaper, I continue to choose Anton Bauer. If anything goes wrong with a copy cat product who can you go to? Just my .02 Have fun, Fly level
  7. Absolutely excellent work on The Help.

  8. Call Derrick Whitehouse, he has a bunch on a ton of colors NEW.
  9. I wouldn't do a Multicore job, but Triax and Fiber cable are all common types of jobs for Steadicam live work. Not everyone does Wireless. They can rent a camera head with a Triax or Fiber cable, and the receiver to connect into the truck so they can paint the camera. Ask to speak with the engineer that will work the job. Also, ask them to put you in contact with the previous steadicam op they have used with the 26 pin. If they say it's never been done by them, Explain your an operator, not a test pilot. Good luck on that one.
  10. Hugo, I am greatly saddened by this. My sincere condolences to you. We have always had Elizabeth and you in our prayers at the house. Peace be with you. Osvaldo
  11. Brought both monitors to set yesterday and took a few shots, they both work very well. Here is the Panasonic one with the short cable. here is the WOLF. Ozzie
  12. I've always loved the way a Plummer works and have always wanted to adopt that way of working.. "I fix your pipe, you pay me" "you don't have the money, I remove your pipe, easy" Time for everyone to ask the Company/Producer calling for references, just like they ask us for them. And tell them straight out, You'll have to do some calling around to make sure they pay their bills on time. If they get insulted, Screw them. Move on. Why do the work if your not gonna get paid? I wonder if any operator here has a Merchant account to accept Credit Cards? My wife has one and one client I had never heard of came to town and hired me for a day, I told them since I didn't know them, nor had they worked in south Florida before, they would need to put down a deposit on a credit card, and they did, they later paid me on time and everything was fine. Just another way to make it easier to get paid.
  13. Hi folks, I have 2 Monitors for sale. Both 7" and 16x9 One I bought several months ago as a back up (Panasonic), then I found another I had that I forgot I had, which was my Main monitor for a few years (Wolf Seeberg DigiMedia) Here is the first... Panasonic TC-7WMS1 Color LCD ( Black) Control buttons are on top (Power, Mode, Aspect, Menu, and Up and Down buttons) It has a 1/4"-20 threaded bottom plate built in, and a connector cable from the proprietary multi pin plug to a Pro 8 pin Lemo. This is the only connection on the Monitor This Cable is short, it's like 8.5" so it would work great on a PRO 1 or 2 which has the monitor connector right up front. But if you have an extension it will work on most anything with an 8 pin Lemo Monitor connection. The other is the Wolf Seeberg DigiMedia 7" (Gray) It's a Monitor that can actually get a TV signal, It has a retractable antenna, has an RF input, RCA video and audio input, RCA Video output, and most importantly I had a 4 pin Male/Female lemo installed to feed it video and power underneath, and I had terry make a 24" cable with a 90 degree 4 pin lemo on one end and the 8 pin Pro connector on the other. The monitor has an aluminum bracket on the back and bottom with a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting point. Both work very well, and are super light, Great for interior work. Both screens are in excellent shape. The panasonic has some cleaning marks but you don't see them when the screen is on. I added some pictures of the Wolf Seeberg on a couple of older rigs of mine. Make me an offer, and email me if you'd like some pics, I'll set up the rig and take some pictures if folks are interested.
  14. Hi Shawn, How are you?, Welcome to the forum. First question is....Do you know how to use the steadicam you've purchased? I don't mean it in a bad way, just honestly. If you haven't taken a course or seen the DVD instructional, and practiced practiced practiced,etc.. you may not be doing your clients any favors by learning on their dime. I think your current rate is low, If you have several projects that look good and professional, I'd up that rate a few hundred to begin with, maybe up it 300 and add an assistant you can pay 150. That way it makes your day easier, your lessening the impact on you and the client starts getting used to a bigger team. But for the adding the Steadicam system to the mix, After you have learned how to use it or have some viable experience with it and a reel to show for it, make it an A la carte item. Find out what some rental houses are charging to rent a Scout and you can charge that at first. Tell the clients..."I'm only charging you for the rental of the unit, and I'm throwing in the operating for nothing extra since your already hiring me and my other gear on the job." The client will feel they're getting a deal and not bark at the extra rental. Sometimes you have to train your client to work with you, they may not know how much more productive you can be if you have an extra hand...(which will come in handy to spot you when your doing steadicam)....Just my 1 cent...Good luck Ozzie

  16. Hello there Sung, I have not heard back from you yet. Has the 9" Blue plate been sent back to me? Your 7" Blue plate has been in Korea now for 2 weeks, I have emailed and no response. If you would like to keep the 9" plate please remit the $155. Thank you

  17. Hi folks, Just wanted to pass this along. I got a few things engraved locally and the folks are good, engrave on almost everything ( No Glass) and their turn around is crazy fast. Either old school engraving or Laser Etching. Small quantities are very cool with them. Here are a few examples of the stuff they've done for me. On the M-One gears I made it easier for me to find a Canon, or Fuji, or Film gear at a quick glans. On the rod adapters, adding the size helps save some time. And the other parts help keep them with me and advertising on the Stand straps (Blue)is always good. Better than tape. Jeremy at Cutting Edge engraving 954-642-0485 email is cuttingedgeengraving@gmail.com Their work is excellent!, and did I mention FAST!!. I leave stuff there in the early day and I usually have it back within a day, sometimes 2 at most!!.
