Hmphh!! The idea was to show good quality pictures in series, to highlight the camera positions!!! and to not use much memory for, people to download!! Yes, there will be video footage! Howard has been in the States, physically showing people! over the last 2 months! Now he's back in the UK, We will try to get something more specific footage for you... If you would like to post any ideas of the type of shot you require! we'll integrate it into a sequence... :huh:

Howdo, International fellas!! I have uploaded a Quicktime of my A-R in sequence photos against a white background. Please check it out! Used an Arri 435 last night on the rig, starting frame was looking back at a couple sitting in the rear seats of a Previa then track out and round to follow Actor getting out, then down to her handbag where she then drops an invitation to the floor and then the camera boomed up to above her head height...worked a treat!! Joe, Yes, my questions were aimed at the Guys at the Guild demo.. I have had a 790 in the AR, just have to take the handle off...Lightweight tri-ax is not a problem, as long as its quite long..Howard is working on a slip ring system for cableing.. I will be in London, hopefully within the month...please ring MK-V for details I am very busy at the moment, so am still trying to work out a date. Chris

Hello Fellas... So.... what did you guys think to the AR? Any ideas to how its going to engage itself into industry life?? Any body got any ideas for shots that could be staged for it? Also, anybody that tried the 'Alien', how do you feel about the AR? pros? cons? Since its arrival iinto the public arena, I've been suprised that there has been no real discussion about the practicalities of its use!! especially after all the pre-mutterings!! Hi there all! As Will has already noted the AR grabs peoples attention and imagination, cant wait to see ?Rent? already! Have just been using my new A-R for 2 x 12 hour days and am still amazed by its unique ability to create innovative shots. The system held up well for the 2 days and worked a treat with the new ARRI 235 (superb little camera!) At the moment trying to get as many DOPs and Directors to see the rig working, to enable them to start thinking inside the Alien-Revolution zone! As, much as I love Steadicam, this thing knocks its socks off! Being able to start with the camera inside a car, looking back at a passenger, then track out to its exterior, down to the ground, then up over the bonnet, up the windscreen and ending up, looking at the person sat in the car, through the sunroof ! Its mind-blowing! I will be doing demos for people, DOPs, Directors and Steadicam Ops and whoever else wants to see it! Get in touch with MK-V to find out where I, and the kit will be. Anyone that wants to see it, Howard will be the US soon and I?m around the UK. MK-V hire (UK) will also have AR?s available soon, to Operators that have done the AR training. HI Guys! I thought I'd just say, what a load of BOLLOX! All I have ever known Howard to be, is a very experienced operator who just wanted to help both me and all you other operators around the world... with some original designs, making sure that he did'nt copy anybody! In selling his own product he has also endorsed other peoples, right from day one!!! If you've met him you should know that! He's made sure that with the forthcoming A-R, it will integrate into the XCS , Pro and dare I say it MK-V ! sorry if that offends any of you, that think I"m endorsing any of these products, but if you know my kit you'll know that I own something from all of them!! Everybodys product I have experienced, both have positives and negatives, some suit me, some don't...and I am sure that is the case with all the Ops on here!! MK-V keeps developing and pushing the envelope because he listens and cares about making the job easier! Therefore Posts are in relation to new products (if they did'nt post, you would'nt know!!) Nice to hear someone thats resonant about how the V2 gimbal performs with the slightest touch! I, myself was quite nervous about using the V2, but after a couple of flys..I was pretty well down with how much you didnt have to do with it! as long as the sled was finely tuned for different shots, the V2 reacted how I always thought a 'free-floating Gimbal' should! Also, after flying the A-R with the V2, thoughts were less on the "Steadicam" operation but, it allowed me to concentrate on the capabilities of the A-R... All the Best to all you flyers!!! Alright Fellas! McGuire Here! Thought I'd make a formal post to wish Howard and his loverly wife Kelly all the best in their commitment to each other. I hope little Rosie brings them sunshine and laughter! I would also like to formally let Howard know, I have the utmost respect for him. I have been his colleague now for nearly 5 years and I don't know anyone who has worked as hard as he to bring his knowledge and experience to a difficult marketplace.
