  1. And how about the new zero-g arm from actioncam.Tremendous range, compatible, and nice price. Constantine Tirintzis :)
  2. Eric hello.great product it sounds like. Will you have a representitive in Europe though. These electronics do brake down and send them to usa for repair is a big prob when you live elsewhere. What warranty it carries? Constantine Tirintzis
  3. Hey Late happy birthday Jim.If you are born at the 8th we celebrated our birthday same day Iam born at the 8th as well. Constantine :)
  4. As I ve had already apologized to Fred for the confusion , The zoom controller pot is from an external zoom controller that connects with a cable to the tajimi connector under the cannon lense. I have shorted E, and F possition on the tajimi connector that they appier to be the camera start on off. All I need now is to find out where 1,2,3,4 contact points from the zoom pot connect to the A,B,C,D of the tajini connector to operate externally the zoom lense, one diagram for cannon, and one diagram for fuginon lenses. If anyone does have this info please help. Thanks in advance Constantine :(
  5. Thanks fred but I still dont get it. The zoom pot has 4 contacts numbered 1,2,3,4. I dont know what they are or do. The cannon 8 pin which is probably the hirose you are describing has A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H. sO CAN YOU TELL ME PLEASE WHERE 1 from pot goes to which letter,2....etc. thanks man :(
  6. Does anyone knows where 1,2,3,4 points on a zoom pot connect to a, A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H, CANNON lence connector for cannon lenses. And also the same question with the same connector for fuginon lenses? I know the start on off possition but I had a break down-someone riped off the cable by stepping on it - and I ergendly now need the wiring cause I use it every day? Maybe Jim Bartell or anyone? tHANKS constantine

Hello there. ill slip in to tell my oppinion about all this bussiness. 2-3 PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE ORGANISED AND TRULLY RESPONSIBLE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS,is enough to get this bussiness going.Everything is made in small factories machine shops with quality control so once you have some good and reliable assosiets good respond and customer support shouldnt be a problem. As I can see Jan is making some very serius products and should have this kind of assosiets to work with. If not he has to find some new ones. Baer - bel has exelend service and is a one man show. As for answering emails please you can answer 100 emails in 2-3 hours. I dont think the company gets that many but even if they do they should consider them selves blessed and hire more companies to produce more and better products instead of loosing customers and get bad reputation. I too believe that he makes good stuff but if I wanted to buy something it would be something I can repair my selve and I would fly there for imidiate purcase.Instead of loosing working days with countless delays and excuses.if you live in europe that is. the rest of you have the main players living next door-for usa that is. Constantine Tirintzis
  8. Hello there. Iam trying to view the pdf files on the steadicam site for the archer, flyer and clipper2, and for some reason the viewer doesnt work.I can view ok the other pdf files in this site though. Iwas wondering if there is a problem on the steadicam site or something Does anyone else has this prob? thanks Constantine Tirintzis :(
  9. hey Matt. If you are interested to this as a project and want to make something to work with micro cams as you have mentioned I can either make you or help you make a gyro stabilised remote head for the cam to skip vibrations, pitch and yau errors of the heli and also remote control it. Constantine please contact me directly flexy@otenet.gr :)
  10. Oh lord. Original and innovative in all of its designs and concepts. Like the fact that the Steadicam Flyer came out and then-miraculously MK-V invented its own lightweight rig which is for all intents and purposes a Flyer? Have you no manners at all? No grace or respect, no recognition or admittance of the facts of history? How thoroughly appalling of you to say such a thing to Mike, when the careful examination of your products and the dates of "invention" reveal otherwise in the extreme. For shame, sir. For shame. The ability to machine a hunk of aluminum to 1/10,000ths of an inch ( or metric equivalent thereof ) doesn't make one a gentleman or a respectful member of the community. OR an inventor of truly original products. It just means one can cut metal. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> so what do you say Mr Abraham? that no other company than tiffen should exist, and they are all cut metal workers? Dont you think with all respect that this is a bit offending and inaccurate the list? The flyer is just a nice little rig for the new needs of the new cams and production, and nothing more nothing less.Very nice but not something increadibly innovating, just a nice little rig.Why do you have to fight over something so much that to create so much bad vibes on the forum? I have asked you once before does everyone has to drive one make of car? And if not does he disrespect history? Constantine Tirintzis

Forgive me if Iam wrong but Iam sure these days there are more than one manufacturers producing fine products even if the weel was discovered by one 30 years ago.Iam sure you dont drive the same car as you did 30 years ago.About price? you can live that subject to the pocket of its one that wants to spent on what he likes and his personal taste. One sided people dont make the world go round. Mkv is defenatly not one sided as they produce products for most of the manufacturers to go with and they are not the only one who does that. If they are expensive, well I think each one can tell and decide,as noone any more hides his prices. Iam sure the new flyer is a nice system and works well but not the only system. And they will be more thanks god. Constantine Tirintzis :)
  12. that goes back a few years ago. Thats Brian the maker of the actioncam a very innovative guy. I think the set up was one bolex s16 and 11 slrs. placing the bolex on one far side and tracing the image throu video assist, and also tracing the image of the last slr, covering a 100 degrees curve or so, in varius angles using the roll and tilt of the sled as he was running around with the sled horizontial to the ground. the arm was the old action arm with a torsion spring. Now Ikonoscope makes these really nice s16 cams that weight with lens and bat and mag 1.5 kilos. Who is gonna buy 12 of them?Hi Hi Constantine Tirintzis
  13. The arm should handle the weight of the sr3 and bat on board depending also on the lens it carries.Ihave flown on on my sk2 with a wide light lens in the past and I was at the top limit, but it was ok flies ok. :)
  14. So I would like to ask now one more question here.Is Eric Fletcher a customer of the AR, is he an invetor or in any way involved in this project,is he an advertiser of the AR, or finaly what is the overall interest of his. As I said I had a mail from him, not from Lynn, not from Howard, warning me about patents and stuff, to be quit honnest,if you dont know whats the deal oppossite to you you dont care that much and get so emotional about stuff, unlss you get something out of it.Unless Eric is so much over the head answering questions, like this and other that I had in the last posts, because maybe he is so much more supirior than operators in other countries than US, which is more unlike they will hAVE THE BUGET TO BUY THE AR, I would like to know where he stands, whats the motive, and generally why he is doing it.The AR might be a miracle but the overall handling of it on this forum gets very suspicius. Other than that when I read his posts I see he gets very exited about any oppossite party asking or demanding info about the AR, Which is natural since only 30 ops have seen it, if you want you can be secretiv about it, just dont post nothing, get your AR, then be talk talk about it. The feeling isnt good, thats the vibes I get anyway. Eric I challenge you to anwer this time, and this come from an SK2 op not a Hollywood well payed rich op. Constantine Tirintzis ;)
  15. Well you ve got a a point there Daniel, somehow I dont get it either, but one thing I see is that the way it was choosen to get spread on the forum, made everybody more and more curius about it.Either way the trooth is close enough now so I hope soon we ll get to see it.As for the points I have writen before it was just some thoughts of how it works and what I think will taketo operate with it,nothing more. I have a lot of questions that I d like to ask though.A machine like this is far more complicated than a normal sled, rotational graddles rotating camera and green screens, and a lot of expensive and complicated electronics. That in the case of bangs and crashes of this equipment can result problems that can not be solved on the fly,or in a sort time while shooting. It better be bulletproof and have the quikest and best service avaliable or ....I dont know...I think they have worked this out so its trouble free.Imagine though that if you have to pay a lot of money for simple repairs of steadi parts, how expensive any repair will be on this thing Hmm who ever has 45 thousand to spend on this will probably be aware of that as well. Constantine Tirintzis :P
