  7. Hello everyone, Thank you; Milan, Ron, Bryan, Erik, Juan, BJ, Osvaldo, Joe, Stephen, Travis, Norbert, Armando, Rob, Job, Tomas, Jay, Jamie, Richard, very much for your kind words and thoughts delivered, both, here on the forum and the others delivered by internet and telephone. I found it comforting to know that the words carried your thoughts and prayers to us in our time of grief. Losing her was such a great loss. Thanks to everyone who has been patient and understanding when I have not been able to respond to you, due to my commitment to Elizabeth. But now it is time to get back to work. I have learned over many years that ‘time stands still for no man’ and I now need to catch up with everything that was delayed. I am sure that I will be speaking to you all, in the future, and I am looking forward to having a chat when the time comes. Kind regards and thanks again, Hugo.

  9. Hello everyone, This is Andrew, I am covering for Hugo at the moment. Hugo will be returning to work unofficially later this week and he will be picking-up where he left off. Hugo is planning a full-time return to work next week and I know we are all very happy to see him back on deck. Thankyou, to everyone for your patience. Andrew Brelaz.
  10. Charles, Congratulations on the move to DP. Reading your post brought back memories from the early 90's of my time at Calamigos Ranch where you were an instructor. I'd like to mention how much I appreciate your help with the Steadyrig arm. I remember clearly the day you flew the very first Steadyrig arm in the prep room at Panavision in LA. And later, those times with Ron B., Aiken, Christopher Ivins, John Hankhammer, Erwin, Daniel Stilling and others, when we spent hours discussing our common obsession with Steadicam. I very much appreciate your beta testing of the battery hanger and contributions to other pieces of equipment. Thanks for everything and best of luck in the future. Hugo Langer
  11. I thought I might just add these two pictures, they are of an upgrade panel for an EFP lower junction box. Regards, Hugo. EFP Upg 1.bmp EFP Upg 2.bmp
  12. Plug and play...It's a trap! how much does it go for if you can recall? Hi everyone I don't think you can get anymore flexible then the Steadyrigs base apart from tilting the batteries .If you know how to solder and do your own machining then fine . You have to look at how long that will take you to make compared to plug and play Yes it will cost you a few grand but you will be working (making money)with your rig the day you get the base and it will last a long time and the resale value will be there as well . just my 2 cents ps Here is a still of another op's EFP upgrade . Good luck Louis Thanks Louis, also Charles and Ron, I thought I might chime in here and include some photos of our Battery Hanger upgrade for EFP, we currently only have one in stock. Regards, Hugo. 14. Hi Ozzie, Hugo here, I'll be going out to the factory on Monday and whilst there I will check my stock for you. I am reasonably sure that I have at least one titanium pin block there, I will let you know next week. Kind regards, Hugo, Steadyrig.
  15. Hello Erik, Hugo from Rig Engineering here. I have an original Cinema Products 1.5" docking bracket with aircraft pin that I have overhauled - stripped down and reanodised. If you want to get in contact, you can email me at admin@steadyrig.com. Regards, Hugo Langer Steadyrig
  16. Hi Dave, It's Hugo here. I agree with James. If you undo the six screws and remove the Lemo each time it's too much wear and tear on the junction box. I suggest that you consider taking advantage of the fact that the PRO is modular and disconnect the lower junction box at the bayonet fitting at the bottom of the post. You can then rearrange the positioning of your equipment inside your case and then your only cost will be re-foaming the case. Some operators have solved the issue this way. Regards, Hugo
  17. This gimbal is "tools free" to suit a 1 1/2" centre post. Comes with 2 tools used to facilitate dismantling and servicing and is completely user serviceable. It includes an extended handle (stem) which allows the operator to adequately see the monitor under the boom hand. All aluminium components are hard anodised. All bearings are stainless steel. It has a titanium pan bearing housing and all other parts are stainless steel. Price is US$4,750.00 plus shipping. This gymbal is used and shows a little cosmetic wear. 22. Hello Tomas, Believe me, there's nothing 'a tad weird' about this. It was purely a matter of international time zones. I simply couldn't ring you any earlier than I did. And, I have absolutely no financial stake in who Alexis sells his arm to. I'm sorry you missed out and if anything comes up in the future, I'll be sure to let you know. Regards, Hugo
  23. Hi. Hugo here from Steadyrig/Rig Engineering. Recently on the forum there has been a bit of talk about our pricing. For the record, the current price of our arms is US$9,950.00 + US$345.00 for shipping. Due to circumstances similar to what GPI is experiencing, labour and material costs have been rising, unfortunately, in the near future we also will be increasing the price of our arms. We will inform you soon of what the new price will be. I would like to take this opportunity to point out that our prices have not risen since 2004. We look forward to continuing to support operators in the marketplace. Regards, Hugo Langer Steadyrig/Rig Engineering admin@steadyrig.com
  24. Hi Rob it's Hugo here. I noticed there is a IIIA gimbal on Ebay at the moment.
