  1. Transvideo Titan system. It works excellent and has only minor cosmetic wear. It comes with a PRO power/video cable, original Transvideo power supply for the receiver, a hinged antenna for the receiver, and a straight and right angle antenna for the receiver. Also included is a second reciever I was experimenting with; a diversity receiver by iftrontech that I had customized so the four channels of the receiver match the four used by the transmitter. I hooked it up and did a small test and the image was as steady as the Transvideo unit and it switched antennas seamlessly. The image was not as sharp as the Transvideo unit. I rarely use the Transvideo, so I never came across an environment where I could tell if the diversity helped. As it stands, it’s a good backup or director’s handheld receiver. It’s made in the US and customer support is very good. The website is: http://www.iftrontech.com/product_info.php?products_id=104 The price for all is $1200
  2. Dropping again... $750 for either or $1250 takes it all.
  3. Dropping the prices. Modulus 3000, antenna and cables: $800 DVX400 and antennas $900 Both together: $1600
  4. I think they made a small run of them and haven't made them since. I shoud have mentioned the control box has a Buffalo Den tag on the bottom as do a couple of the connector backshells. The guards for the thumb controler are coated with plasti dip for grip and to protect the post when it's docked. There is some ano wear under that. The rest of the gimbal mount I usually wrap a strip of soft side velcro on to protect the post, but took it off to show the condition. The motor and power cable aren't included. People are asking how it works so here goes: It’s really just a reconfigured Digital Microforce; the difference being there is a separate connector for power in and the thumb control knob runs out to a clamp that attatches to your gimbal. The connecting cable is super thin, so influence on the sled is unnoticeable. What makes this unit stand well above the other gimbal zoom units is that it’s a Preston system. You can use any of their motors and therefore any lens with a gear on it, and you can set the range of zoom. The feel is like a regular microforce, so it can be used for seamlessly zooming in a bit to stay out of lights, other peoples shots, etc . There is also the same LED display of lens position as the Digital Microforce has. The control box weighs 7.4 oz I can be reached at dgun@pacbell.net
  5. The antennas are made for 400-1000mhz and have 5/8" mounts I can be reached at dgun@pacbell.net

  12. "We don't have to pay sales tax if we purchase out of state but we do if we purchase out of country? Bastards. Maybe I'd be more willing to keep my purchases "Made In America" if any of it was." Hate to bring ya down, but this should be said. Californians are expected to pay sales tax on out of state purchases. It's called "use tax" and is reported in your state return. http://www.boe.ca.gov/sutax/usetaxreturn.htm Your accountant may not mention this or even tell you the state'll never know; if so, consider getting another accountant. There are much worse things that can come up from not paying this tax on time, mainly if you aren't charging sales tax on your rentals. As far as that goes, there are two schools of billing for rental of tangible property: let's call them the Otto Nemenz school and the Camera House school. Otto Nemenz charges sales tax on rentals. Their rental activity is considered an ongoing sale. They also don't have to pay property tax on all their gear. The Camera House does not charge sales tax on their rentals; instead, they pay property tax on their gear. The latter is especially good if your buisness has less than $100,000 worth of gear because you are exempt from property tax. That known, a requirement for the Camera House method is that you pay sales tax on your property in a "timely manner," i.e. at the sale, or in that years state return for out of state or out of country purchases. If you don't, you are supposed to pass sales tax on rentals to the BOE. If they find out you haven't, they will want those taxes + some nasty fines. Considering how much we make on rentals, that's a lotta cabbage. Best to just pay the use tax. http://www.boe.ca.gov/pdf/pub46.pdf Gotta disclaim here...I'm not an accountant. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I learned the basics in a free Small Buisnessmans Association class, and the rest from state websites and various accountants. I think I was lucky to learn this stuff early on. When you file for a DBA, you get a tax bill from the city of LA and that's it; seems you should get a brochure or sumthin'. Tax law is dodgy and changes constantly. Your accountant should know all about this stuff. A great source of information is in-house accountants at rental houses. They are paid to keep up with this specific area of stuff and are usually more than willing to talk to another human, especially in thier area of expertice. Fly safe
