  1. I have multiple units only because I have multiple rigs. I do have a couple of backup handles for when I drop one in the ocean, etc, or sometimes the zoom rocker spring breaks but I can easily fix that in the field. Your problem may be as simple as a dirty centering pot on the handle. Try turning the pot from end to end a couple of times before centering to see if that helps. If that's not it, John is correct in saying the digital lenses are overly sensitive, mostly the Canon's. The older Canons are not as bad. I always request Fuji lenses so there's no problem with zoom drift. Most tv trucks and facilities I use are all fuji anyway. Idol uses all Canon, except for the steadicam position for this very reason. Email me if you decide to sell your Stanton handle.
  2. Thanks Andrew. I really miss that arm! We've been through alot together ;)

I recently sold the other 2 identical ones with the same accessories for the same price. I work mostly indoor studio live shows so it is in very clean condition. I will be happy to meet you at Tiffen if you want to demo the sled and have everything checked out. It is all in perfect working order and well taken care of. You can use any anton bauer batteries with this Master sled.
  4. For sale: (2) Master Series batteries. Excellent cosmetic condition but need to be recelled. Asking $400 for both.
  5. Hi Hamlet, What is the nit rating on the monitor. I'm just wondering how well it performs in direct sunlight. Do you have one available for demo in LA?
  6. Actually Dario was after Ms Ecuador. He taught Merriweather to say "Shut up and drop your pants" in portugese, except Merriweather thought it meant "Have a nice day" He got a few mean looks from the girls ;) 2 of the Phantom V's should be ready in about 2 weeks or so and i'm waiting on the 3rd one. Looks like with a purchase of a Phantom-V they are now including the same return monitor that I have...the 16:9 one. Also, I spoke with Stanton to see about them making another run of our zoom/focus handles. They are doing the math and will let me know how many we need to order for them to make another run. They though about 10 was the number but will let me know this week. I've already got several guys who would buy another, including me and Freddy. I'm up to 5, so I need a few more guys to commit to buying one. Would you be interested in buying a new one..as a backup at least, since this will probably be our last chance to get one? They will be the same price.
  7. Hey Rob, Did you see your picture on the new Phantom-V Literature that Tiffen is putting out? Classic! ...although I would have gone with the diamond earrings instead ;)
  8. For sale: One Master Series Iso-Elastic arm in excellent shape for $8500. It's still in service and located in LA if you want to demo the arm.
  9. For Sale: One PAG quad charger model MC124 (in new condition), 2 Master series batteries (need recell), battery charging cable, and anvil hardcase. How about $650 for everything plus shipping. If you only want part of the kit, make an offer.
  10. Are there any owner operators in the Sao Paulo area? I will be there in a couple of weeks for the universe pageant and i'm looking for some local backup/contingency gear. Brazil Ops please PM me. Thanks!
  11. Thanks for all the emails, but this package is sold. However I will have 2 more identical steadicam packages posted for sale in the coming weeks once some of my new sleds arrive. I will be selling the same packages (Master series sled, arm, vest, hd monitor, sd monitor etc), at the same price if anyone will be ready to buy in a few weeks. You can demo the units in LA anytime. They are both ready to shoot with any 12 or 24 volt camera, 35mm film, 16mm film, Alexa, Red, Panavision, or live tv camera. I will also split up the parts if you're only interested in an arm, etc.
  12. Thanks Tim, Moving the weight of the transmitter lower with your new bracket also has allowed me to shorten my post, which is invaluable for running sideways on dance shows. I also like the new new rear mount battery plate, eliminating the need to put a battery on top, and adding a place for the digital return video receiver, thus keeping CG lower and keeping my post as short as possible. Here is a snapshot of my rig at So You Think You Can Dance. Regarding antennas...Tim can correct me if i'm wrong but the frequency you transmit on dictates the length of the main antenna heighth. On dance, as you can see I run a really short antenna so I don't have a problem with antenna height. It's about as tall as the top of my prompter screen. BTW, I just put this pictured sled up for sale in case anyone is interested. I will include some free tickets to the dance show with any purchase ;)
  13. I have a complete Master series system for sale. This is the master film sled that I retrofitted for live television with addition of tally, pgm monitor, hd monitor etc. It can still do film shoots also. I used this rig on American Idol finale, and its currently on So You Think You Can Dance. It is in excellent shape, and lived most of its life indoors on tv stages. If interested, you can come by the set to test it, and it will be available for you to take home when we wrap this series in a couple of weeks. Here is a list of what is included along with prices: Master series leather vest (upgraded with new style latches) - $2500 Master series iso-elastic arm with 2 posts and bag - $8500 Transvideo Superbright 6"Cine3 SD monitor - $2500 Marshall HD/SDI 7" monitor - $1500 Master series film sled with hardcase - $12000 SLED DETAILS (includes the following) Master film sled with motorized stage Master dovetail plate Master docking bracket Anton Bauer battery plate 12/24 converter Tally light/sensor (2) 2.5" pgm return monitors 12v power cable 24v power cable bnc HD cable monitor mount to work with both Marshall & Transvideo monitors (sled does not include greenscreen monitor cuz I always used the Marshall or Transvideo) Cables for tally power and pgm monitor Frameline Generator and artificial horizon (when in SD mode) Thermodyne black branded hardcase with wheels You can purchase items individually, or $26,000 gets you everything listed on this page.
  14. I am selling 5 more Anton Bauer Hytron 140 batteries. They are all in great shape, 3 of the 5 are excellent and the other 2 are a bit older but do hold a good charge. $1400 for all 5 batteries. I also have 4 dead anton bauer ProPac 14 batteries with digital display. All 4 of these need recell. How about $150 for all 4.....or if you buy the Hytrons I will throw these in the box at no charge.
  15. Hey Thanks Charles. Not sure we will win that Emmy category because the east coast shows we are up against usually get a lot of votes. Yes Mark is right, ask for Dean when you call Trewaudio. They are not a dealer for Bose so you have to supply your own Bose headset to get the mod, and they do the rest. The 5pin xlr configuration will work with Sony cameras, Ikegami, Thompson/BTS/Philips cameras, and clearcom & RTS beltpacks.
  16. I'd consider it but I would have to figure out what to do with that volume control module box thingy that is in the cable of both those headsets. The QC2 doesn't have that...volume control comes from the camera. If you can cut out and bypass that box, and add a 5pin xlr I will buy both of them from you!
  17. I don't wear DC's anymore when I fly because the clamp too hard. Try a pair or Bose A20's or Lightspeed Zulu's, both have active noise canceling and great passive noise canceling, Plus you can pair them to your bluetooth phone and make and take calls while working! Yes the Bose A20's are definitely the way to go if you have the money. I did this mod on the QC2 almost 10 years ago because I didn't have $1k to spend on a headset back then, plus I needed at least one pair for each of my rigs. Everything at trewaudio cost a little less than half of the cost of an A20. Here are a couple of snapshots. Today I would get an A20, just cuz the bluetooth feature is cool!
  18. I have 5 slightly used Anton Bauer Hytron 140's for sale. 4 are still in excellent shape, but 1 of them might need to be recelled within the next 12 months or so. B&H sells them for $480 each, and i'm asking $1500 for all 5 batteries.
  19. Hi Norbert, I think you meant David Clark headsets (Dick Clark is a production company, haha) ...yes the David Clarks are pretty good but my only problem with them is they start to physically hurt my head after about 2 or 3 hours. I'm usually wearing a headset for 12+ hours everyday, and I chose bose because it's light weight and very comfortable for long periods of time. You don't need any tech know-how to modify them...just send them to trew audio in Nashville www.trewaudio.com and tell them you want the John Perry mod. They will add the mic and mount and 5pin xlr for broadcast cameras and it's very professionally done.
  20. From my original posting I have only (9) Dionic 90's left, along with 2 Anton Bauer 2702 quad chargers. 4 of the 9 Dionics need to be re-celled, the other 5 are still in pretty good shape. I used them to power my sled only for live shows. How about $2200 for everything listed, 2 quad chargers and 9 batteries. Each charger sells new at B&H for $1350 each, and i'd be giving you 2 of them plus 9 batteries for only $2200. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/122583-REG/Anton_Bauer_QUAD_2702_Q_2702_4_Position_PowerCharger.html
  21. Hey thanks Charles....I modified a bose qc-2 and added a dynamic mic and 5pin to work with broadcast cameras. I love it because it blocks out the sound of all the screaming teenage girls in the audience ;) Yes I was tethered and Dave was wireless
  22. Hey Rich, All my stuff in is the tech room at stage 46 in case you need anything else this week, you are welcome to help yourself and grab what you need. Good luck...its a heavy beast ;) JP
  23. For sale: (13) Anton Bauer Dionic 90 batteries and (3) Anton Bauer 2702 quad chargers. 7 of the batteries need to be re-celled and the other 5 hold a decent charge. Asking $3000 for everything. The 3 chargers alone are worth more than $3000. If you don't want the whole package you can make an offer for what you need.
  24. Roll-call: Hector and Eastwood were main show, Rob was pre-show green room, I was at the entrance and then on stage left (camera right), and Tore was in the rotunda entrance.
