Apparently the brackets were delayed in shipping because of the storm so me and Phil had to go high. Phil Jacqes worked the end zones and yes he has some vibration on his top stage that you saw when he ran. I used to have the same problem with mine until I had all the bearings and track replaced in the top stage. It was rock solid when I got it back from Tiffen. I'm sure stacking high added to the vibration. Phil does most of the regular season and Monday night games ....great operator and nice guy. I was the one you saw getting beat up at the end of the game during the free-for-all. 500 photogs rushing onto the field all trying to get the same shot...I might as well have been a handheld op at that point. I didn't see Jeff Zachary there, but Tore Livia did halftime and James Lytle was on the red carpet for NFL Network.

I am replacing all of my Anton Bauer Dionic 90s with another battery type so I am selling this kit. I will break it up if you only want certain items or you can make an offer for the whole lot. (14) Dionic 90's (8 of them are still in service and the other 6 need to be recelled) Cosmetically they are all in good condition. (2) model 2702 quad chargers Everything is located in LA if you want to inspect the items. Do any of you anton bauer folks know what the used market price is for these items? Hi guys, Thank you for your comments and I'm glad you appreciated the shot. True, it wasn't easy to do and a lot could have gone wrong on this one cuz it was live and not very rehearsed, but the utility guys behind me make me look very good (shout-out to Soulman and Travis). It seems like live shows are giving us less and less rehearsal time as budgets shrink, so I feel like we are constantly winging it. Hopefully that will change as the economy bounces back, but in the meantime all we can do is our best. I also want to echo the awesome post I just read from Janice to revel and savor your job, experience, colleagues etc. I truly agree and really love our profession. Charles and anyone else should give me a call if you come out west to visit. It's good to meet fellow operators and I admit because of lack of free time I haven't even met a lot of you already here in LA (mostly the filmstyle ops). It seems everytime there is a get-together or party, work gets in the way. I hear what goes on at those parties and it reminds me of my college days, at least the ones I can remember at all ;) Happy Holidays...

I am selling a complete set of 4 Arri 400' Steadicam Arrimag M-120 S Mags for 435 cameras. I bought these 2 years ago for specific projects and they were very lightly used. They still appear to be brand new with no scratches etc. I bought them directly from Arri and they were never rental items, only privately owned for my use. I check 1650's all the time on airlines and have never had a problem. I also check the large steadicam thermodynes. Be sure to get an ATA Carnet in place before you leave the country. If you fly Air France, the cases must be under 32 kilos in order to check them, with no exceptions.

Which brings up another question....for online reels, what video format do you guys prefer? Mine is .mp4 and defaults to Quicktime to play, but some people still tell me it won't load. Others say it takes 30 seconds before it starts playing. Do any of you internet savy people have a good system?

I missed the event because of work but I wanted to say that my Transvideo monitors are very reliable and perform very well in sunlight. I would rather pay more for a monitor to have the reliability and features. I've used other brands (not mentioning names) that ended up costing more when you factor in repairs over the years. I have never had any issues or problems with Transvideo monitors even in the extreme conditions I have put them thru. During 8 seasons of the Amazing Race I hauled them to over 90 countries as they got beat up by airline luggage handlers, using them in sub zero snowy conditions as well as 120 degree heat in the desert, rainy monsoons and high humidity, and they have not failed me once. That says a lot about the quality of manufacture and I would gladly pay more for a product that is well made and has all the features. There is a reason it is more expensive. I have the piece of mind knowing that it is not likely to fail in the field. I am sure there are other brands that also hold up well, but i'm only speaking from my personal experience with Transvideo. If you are shopping for cars and buy a Ford Focus, yes it gets the job done and its cheap, but you have to roll down the windows manually, you don't look as cool driving it so you might not get as many girls, and they break down more often so you might pay a few thousand extra in repairs over the years. You should have bought the more expensive Honda Accord with cruise control and power windows, and it lasts twice as long with very few repairs. I've got over 280k miles on mine after 14 years. I couldn't afford a new car because I spent all my money on Steadicam monitors ;)
