Hello, my name is Jeff and I am a?a?ah?a Steadicamoholic?(there I said it!). It?s been 3 weeks since I last flew and I have found it very hard to be ?on the wagon ?, (tripods).
I have been good since I sold my Master Series two years ago, shooting from lock down locations that a tripod can provide, with some occasional handheld work when needed.
Sure, I had some slipups.
It started out slow, like on a DV job somebody brought a Merlin and said ?go ahead, try it, everybody?s using them?.
Then I found myself wondering into trade shows, glancing at the new rigs, trying on vests and extending a few arms. I even had a crazy night with an Ultra only to find out that she left me for another ?Demo??I felt used.
Then, I was alone with this sexy little thing. I didn?t think much of her a first, what kind of name is ?Flyer? anyway. Then I put her on and it all came rushing back to me like a long lost love, I was flying my shots again. High shots, low shots, running down the hallways I felt like an adrenaline junkie B.A.S.E. jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge!
Now, I have rescued an EFP rig from the Steadicam Human Society and have returned to the forum for advice and guidance - I?m back!
