Thank you so much for your encouragement, Alec. You're right, I haven't met any female steadicam ops in NY. I was considering booking myself for the upcoming SOA workshop in May, but a friend of mine who took the program said I would benefit more from it if I already had a rig, so I could ask questions, learn and practice using what I already have. Do you agree or do you think it doesn't make a difference? For now I am doing my research online and on set if its a steadicam day. (if you haven't guessed yet, I'm an AC). A few of the steadicam ops I've worked with have been so kind as to let me try their rig on during down time. I may have a feature coming up with quite a few steadicam days, I hope that comes through...
