  1. Hey Ariel, You could be having a calibration issue. I had mine misbehaving and solved it by doing this: 3. Calibration 3.1. To calibrate the BarTech Iris Slider and Focus knob make sure that all of the switches are in the down position on the BarTech Handset. I.e. Power is OFF, Motor Direction is in REV, Camera is in CON, and Camera Run/Stop is in STOP. 3.2. Switch on the Power switch. 3.3. Now switch up all of the other switches. When this is completed both the Power and Camera Run/Stop LED’s should start rapidly flashing. 3.4. Slide the BarTech Iris Slider all the way from one end to the other a few times. 3.5. Rotate the Focus knob all the way from one end to the other a few times. 3.6. Move all of the switches but the Power switch into the down position. The Power and Camera Run/Stop LED’s will stop rapidly flashing which indicates that the calibration is complete. If this doesn't work, you should contact PLC as when you do the iris slider upgrade, most of the electronics, even in your handset, are from PLC. Good luck!
  2. I myself operated just recently on the season finale for "The Middle" which is still shot on film. I have to say that I missed the pristine picture quality of HD on my LCD. The tap picture was grainy, left me wondering a couple of times if I had gotten a Cstand in or if it was something else. Honestly it was nice having a nice picture on my monitor on the following job...
  3. have you paid? If not, I would suggest Heden motors. If you have, just keep the pressure, until you get it. Keep calling, emailing... Good luck.
  4. Those are good and more specific questions. The connect times I noted were with TX and RX in close proximity. I can't see why it would be different further away, but I'll definitely test that. I didn't have to power cycle the TX. It stayed on for most of the time, with the RX getting it's power cut every time we moved location.
  5. I just recently purchased a brand new Arrow-X and I have to say the performance is incredible. It looks like the Tomahawk physically, but has not quite that long of a range but the price point is quite less. The RX is SDI but the TX right now is HDMI, but they will offer an SDI version next month, which I will be upgrading to. It kicks the but, range wise, on the regular Arrow and also on the standard Bolt. I had my Arrow-X on a Disney commercial where we moved locations quite often. Never once did I hear that the village had lost video. Solid as a cable. On my setup I had the regular Arrow for the directors monitor and the 1st's monitor as well, and had the X for video village. On the X's receiver I also had the Array antenna. I had a moment for a little test, where I walked away from the village and my 1st stayed there with his monitor for comparison. After a while the signal on the regular Arrow was lost. I kept walking and the X kept going. I lost sight of the village around a bend quite far away. I decided to head back when my AC informed me that the connection was never lost. I don't know number wise what that distance was, but unless it's something really particularly different than regular shooting, I've never been that far away from the village. I have to say, finally there's a wireless system that works solidly, connects super fast (15-20 seconds), and it's built solidly. Looks great and professional. I'm very pleased with this purchase and it has already become a hot item on my rentals.
  6. Se precisar me avisa! Morei 15 anos em Sampa:)
  7. I have a Teradek Bolt (non Pro) for sale. It was used a handful of times and performs flawlessly. Has minimal signs of use on the TX and the receiver looks brand new.The Non pro models perform exactly the same as the pro models as it has the same chipset inside. The only differences are this is a 1:1 system, doesn't have an internal battery, which I never liked anyway, and it doesn't have an SDI passthrough.Comes with the TX, RX, Power adapter for RX, P-Tap cable for TX and a coiled SDI cable, just as it comes from the factory.New at BH costs 2K. Selling this one for $1,600.00 Paypaled and shipped in the ConUS.
  8. Hello everyone, If you're interested, you have to go to the Reduser link. There's an email for the people at Teradek you have to contact. You don't really have to post at Reduser, but you have to email the Teradek people. They will send you an email with tier discounts and later, instructions for buying.
  9. I have the same great experience with Heden and Magnus. Just bought 2motors for my Preston. communication is fast and service has been great...
  10. Im selling 3 excellent Preston Batteries and a Preston Charger. They all have marks of usage, but work beautifully. The batteries are in great shape and hold a good charge. Excellent for HU 1 and 2, specially now that Preston doesn't make these anymore... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221405945312&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123
  11. Try and change the torque setting on the BDR. I don't remember how you do it, but I'm sure you can find it in the manual. I think you set it on the handset knob and then press the torque button on the BDR, but look it up, and I have a feeling that will help.
  12. Very good advice from Robert. What I did a few years back was actually send my numbers to 2 CPA's and see who worked best with me. It's a little costly as you have to pay them both, but you can see who is faster, better, more responsive, comes back with the best numbers, etc. Then decide...
  13. I use Southwest all the time. You need a badge, card or any ID that confirms you are media related. Then you basically are off the hook on overweight. You still have to pay $75 for any bag after the 2 free ones, but they are all cleared from the 50lb and size limit. When I go, I usually have a large carry on with either lenses, or Epic bodies and always my Lithium batteries. If you have a crummy boarding group and not sure your bag will make it to the overhead, ask the people at the gate nicely if you can get to pre-board. Usually they are nice about it and 4 out of 5 times they will give you a pre-board sliver of paper. But don't abuse it. I only ask if I have a large carry on, and I'm at the tail end of B, or C boarding group, and considering that the Lithium batteries I'm caring cannot be gate checked.
  14. I know this is not what you want to hear, but an agent is not for you at this point in your carrer. as said above, they will only want to see you if you have a good list of (known) credits and faces in your reel. IMO you are better off using your energy getting better and better jobs, instead of chasing agents... While I lived in LA, I had an agent and only got 3 jobs from him. The rest all came from me, he did the negotiating part...
  15. I was in a bind once and Dan came to my rescue in record time. Couldn't ask for better costumer service.
  16. I agree 100%. I think high low mode would have been the ticket.
  17. I am a potential costumer that has been on the fence about buying your monitor. The only reason I haven't done so is not the monitor itself, and not even the shortcomings, but the way you respond to the requests for making your product better/appropriate/fixing the problems. Now with these statements you made my decision very easy, and you might be making existing costumers even less happy... I understand it's not an easy task to make the best monitors out there, but blaming your costumers that paid top dollar for your lack of will to keep going is hardly the way to go...
