  1. The one aspect I don't like of this is the 2 operator thing. It will invariably be always behind a little bit as one operator catches up with what the other operator is thinking and doing. If they implement a way to give all the control to the guy that's carrying it, then there's no stoping this...

Bartech and Easy Rig are going to love this!

  2. I'm selling my trusty and in great shape 10 Anton Bauer Dionic 90 batteries. They are between 1 and 4 years old, and they are all in top shape when it comes to holding a charge and just minor scuffs when it comes to cosmetics.

Included in the package are 2 Titan double simultaneous chargers and their power cables.

I'm changing battery formats, so I need to make room for some new ones.

I am only selling this as a set, so not breaking up...

This whole set new would cost you just shy of $5,300.

    Asking $ 2,000

  3. I remember the first few times I strapped on a stabilization device to my body. I was so excited about the results, as I had never achieved footage stabilized like that. But after analyzing it a little bit I started seeing the problems I see in your footage. Bobbing headroom, level, and steps.

After that I started practicing, practicing, practicing... I only felt comfortable taking someone's money after about 2 years.

My advice is pretty obvious. It takes practice. Start cranking!

Oh, and on a side note, in my days (now I sound old...), searching through focus on the shot was a huge no no... Am I the only one sick and tired of the need for extreme shallow DOF, in every single shot?

  4. Selling my excellent, and in great shape 6.5" Marshall monitor.
It was used on my Steadicam, inside, outside, in the sun, with great results. It has minimal wear on the body, and the screen is pristine.
It has a sony battery bracket, it takes composite, component and HDSDI. You can power it from the large Sony batteries, 4 pin XLR or you can change the plate to anything else.
    B & H sells it for just under 1.8K
    Asking $1,100 shipped.

  5. I'm letting go my excellent Teradek Pro TX/RX
Not to be confused with the Cube, this system has no delay, the transmitter has the internal battery and this is multi cast capable.
Used very little, minor scuffs, but in excellent condition, just upgraded by the factory with a new revision hardware, so this is basically brand new.
Comes with a Pelican Storm case, 2 Ptap power cables, one barrel power cable, power supply for the receiver, 2 mounting screws.
With all the extras, this system would cost retail $2,800.00

Selling this turn key system for $2,400.00 including shipping and Paypal.

  6. I would definitely then buy a second BDR. The V2 is great, and with the slider upgrade on your handset you have a killer, compact system that is 16 bits and performs just as good as a Preston HU 1 or 2 with 2 channels, for a fraction of the cost.

I would call Jim or Marc Alfonso and have a chat about their solution.

  7. I just purchased a second BDR for the Iris Slider I got for my Bartech handset, when I, with big surprise, realized that it is an all new version of the BDR. On the outside it looks the same, except for the markings and the front panel, that now has buttons that you can actualy press with your fingers.

Now the cool new things are under the hood: the calibration now lasts for 45min after power off, you can set the torque with much ease, and, in case you are working with lenses that turn forever, you can manually set the ends, just like the analog BFD.

And, in a great side effect of getting the iris slider, your system turns into a 16 bit resolution system. Smoother...

The BDR was already great, but it now is even better...

  8. I read about the digital upgrades from PLC (?) which turn the unit into a digital setup and it got me thinking...

Bearing in mind that I am not familiar with the Digital Bartech... What digital motors do work with the unit? Does the Preston motor work.

The BDR is known to be compatible with:

    M-One Digital

    Heden M21VE and M26VE

    Preston DM-1 and DM-2

    Betz BTM

In general it should be compatible with any motor that is Preston compatible.

    Jim Bartell

Add to the list the RedRock Torque motor. Works quite well.
