  1. here is some other pictures of the bracket . i have try it , it's very strong , the rods are longer than needed , but i think it's important for the rigidity . this is the best bracket to mount lcd screens i have see for the master .
  2. i will post other pictures on saturday , this bracket is perfect for cinemonitor HD , but maybe it can be modfied to accept other monitors .
  3. i've just post a picture of a new bracket to mount transvideo cinemonitorHD on master series Rig , it's in the bracket section . as i have try many things on my master to fit well LCD monitors without vibrations , i must say this bracket is just perfect . picture in bracket section
  4. here is a new bracket for master series rig , it comes from transvideo , and i have to say WHAOO . you can mount the new CinemonitorHD on masters without any changes on your rig .
  5. The Nits on papers are interesting , but the reality with the monitors outide is pretty much interesting . many monitors do have a small angle of view , destroying the brightness or picture quality if you are not exactly in front . it's not a nit question . i usually use a Rainbow II super bright transvideo it's a near 1000 nits 110° angle of view , i never have had problemes shooting pictures with this monitor even at twelve in desert . i have use many times the new transvideo cinemonitor HD 8 " outside , without any problems it's not bright as the super bright series but the angle of view is make for steadicam use . the important thing is that transvideo makes monitors for operators work in mind .
  6. here is the beast from transvideo . Digital level , multi framelines and markers , exact colorimetry D65,D56 waveform under the picture , aspect ratio 1,33 1,78 2,40 2,35 autoreverse , tally on picture or on led accept from SD to 1080P (720p,1080i,1080p,PSF) LESS than 1 Frame latency ! I love it .
  7. hi , i have use the transvideo rainbow II 6,5 super bright fitted on a master without any problems of viewing in places where the sun burn your arm in seconds , and without hood on it . it's a very good monitor , and in the extrem version you have a digital level inside . you also have one with a titan RF transmitter or receiver inside .
  8. hi all , this arm is between 9500 Euros to 11000 for 42 lbs or 51 or 57,3 lbs load .(this is the list price for europe maybe it's not the same price in other places) the arm on the picture was fitted with carbon and was lighter than the old one . i've try it in the french exhibit satis . the feeling was between the efp style arm and the G50 i have . interesting , you have to try it . very good boom range , very easy to modify the spring charge but not tool free . the vest is also to be tried , the design was made to let the skin breath , the air can circulate in the front mount vest . the sled was fitted with a transvideo cine hd monitor , very nice thing . i will make a post for this outstanding monitor in another post .
  9. With the G50 and a master series (transvideo lcd and 2 PAG batteries), we have used from the jvc gyhd111 to the sony hdcam 750 with chrosziel mattebox, french flag , 2x m-one motors and 2x bartech receptors , the 750 viewfinder and 3 pags on the sled . The g50 works fine in both way and have keep reserve of weight in the 750 setup. In the light setup the g50 have keep the same reactions, boom range and ultra smooth moves.
  10. We have had this problem on some old sony monitors at the tv station where i work . The technicians here do not repair this kind of problems , it ?s not a good news to help you . Have you try to get the video signal on another monitor than the master monitor , I think it?s not that , but maybe try to have a picture directly from the frameline generator to know If it?s really the faulty monitor . You can also give your monitor for test in a traditional tv repair , it?s near the same as black and white monitors for the embedded electronic .(they have repair synch problems for me before I put a lcd on my master) Give this to the technician , it can help him to power and send video to the monitor : 4 pins HIROSE cable : Pin 1 : GND Pin 2 : video GND Pin 3 : video Pin 4 : + 12v
  11. i travel all the time with my master in 3x1650 pelicase each near 70 lbs . the problems does not come from the companies , the problems comes from the airports . airports have different rules for the maximum you can carry in one box , for example i have fly to Sydney via Hong Kong and Paris with a quantas plane and a 100 lbs box , no problems . but for the return , they says it's impossible to take the box , 80 lbs max airport rules. the companies do not mind how much you take , you pay the big price for baggage?s excess . now the problem i have is the security controls , specially with batteries . it takes always a very very long time. it's better to comes in airports 4 hours before flight for international airlines . do not use hard lock , if the security cant open your box , the box will stay in the airport ! use plastic collars , they can brake them if they want to check. don?t forget your ATA carnet , with your number 5 smile for the customs , it help very much :)
  12. I don?t know if there is a Tiffen reseller in Sweden , ask on the tiffen.com to know that . the price is near 9000 us $ without taxes , and it can be little up if you want titanium socket . it's a great arm with unique features . i can show you mine if you come in France .
  13. splendid shot ! very long . i think he goes inside the ww on his knees too . the sled have to be in very short configuration .
  14. same as you thomas , i'm absolutly happy with my HB transvideo . it's realy a pleasure to work with this . be carrefull with publicity for lcd day light garanty that looks like mirrors in full sun . i've loose some money before with monitor like these . there is one important thing to know about the transvideo monitor , they are working in 2 ways , buttons on the right or button on the left , but there is only one way for steadycam use , where you have a 110° of viewing without problems . some operators mout there monitors the wrong way .
  15. as i travel by airplane all the time , i have put all in 4 cases near 31 kg each . 1 x 1650 pelicase for harness, arm, docking stand, matthews turtle base, low mode system and brackets . 1 x 1650 pelicase for 2 charger , 9 batteries ,transvideo assist monitor , bartechs and motors , cables . 1 x original master series fly case . 1 x 1450 pelicase for The Boxx numeric video transmitter/receiver and each time i take planes it's between 500/2000 $ of baggage excess .
  16. i have my g50 for 2 month now . it's pure pleasure  . JobScholtze you are going to love it !
  17. something is important too , when you protect monitors , specialy lcd monitors , let the air going inside the rain protection . dont close completly . this tip is very important if you shoot in a hot country or if there is sun/rain . when you have finished your shoot remove the cover . this is important on hot electronic parts , sometimes on camera too . i have had big problems with a Dlink camera after 1 hour of sun/rain , the humidity have reach the electonics inside the camera .
  18. i use the flycase that come with the master , and 2 X 1650 pelicase , one for the harness, arm, docking stand and small things . the other for video assist, motors and bartech,2 X pag charger,9 X L95 batterys , cables, brackets , low mode . the 3 cases are near 30 kg each and it's the best way to not have problems in airports . i have use sometime a pelicase 1660 then i can put all in 2 cases , but the 1660 goes up to 50 kg . most of airports does not take case upper than 43 kg after it travel in cargo , it's not the good way .
  19. thats it , thank you for your help . it's the secured small pin who was very difficult to remove .
  20. does someone know how to remove this button on my master series ? a little disc that stop the top stage to go right or left have been broken . i have now a 0.5 mm of move right and left on the top stage . to replace this i need to remove the red button . there is a little screw in it , i have remove it , but the button still in place . any help will be very appreciated .
  21. here is a very nice one , from the movie titanic steadicam jim muro with his harness, hand on sled, battery, camera .
  22. i've had some problems balancing my sled with a ZOE III on the gimbal , the cable of the zoe III gives spring like to the sled , and very hard to control don juan works . this modification can help some of you who got the same problems . first i've search a 7 wires tiny slackness cable , i've found that the computer mousse got this tiny cables . so if you want to keep the RET and REC button you can use this . RET and REC are not important for me on the gimbal , then i have search another cable , smaller , with 3 wires , just for the zoom control . i've found that the lavallier microphone cables in 1 meter is absolutely soft, slackness and secured to disturbance. you just have to found a broken lavallier microphone . i've put the cable on the ZOE III , and now it's like wireless . i have try it on canon , fuji , with old one and new HD series , with titan near the cable , bartech emitter near the cable . no problems it work fine without disturb . :) the only thing you have to do is modifying with the little screw the sensitivity of the ZOE and the 0 position with the big one. here is some pictures
  23. thanks for the ref jim , i've just order one in audio electronic shop . i modify my tally to have 2 lines of leds , one for me and one for the guy in front of the camera . most tally systems have only leds for the op , or very tiny one that in full sun at 4 meters of the camera no one can see .
