  1. Hi , i?m looking for the reference of this

The male and the female , it look like a small xlr .

We are not familiar to this kind of plug here .

    Thanks for help .

  2. The cable man was sleeping well !

I was shooting on a live show , with a triax cable . a tiny one to the camera , a big one attached on the back of my vest .

The director says ?steadicam ready , go ? , I go running to make the shot in live , but the cable man was sleeping , looking somewhere else with the headphone on the neck not on the ears !

The big triax have take off all the straps of the back of the vest , and I was very lucky because the sled have not fall . I have take all the Steadicam in my hands harness included.

The cable have not unplugged, and the end of shoot was in the clouds.

Finally he wake up , with a ?oh sorry I was not ready? .

    ARGGG !

  3. what i know about this feature is nearly the same as erwin

there is different colors green horizontal ±1°, yellow ±3°, red when you are clearly out of horizon just after you put your foot in the carpet .

    automatic switch in low mode

    a frameline generator

they are going to go first on the rainbow super bright and just after on the cine III

and it's confirmed for HDSDI version in separated box that goes on the back of the monitor

  4. very impressive kareem .

i have fly many times on many helicopteres , and one time we have had a little problem called "vortex effect" it's when the helicopter comes back in it's own turbulences .

we were lucky because we were at 600 meters hight , but the same thing at 50 meters and we were down !

it was on a jet ranger II , but this thing can arrive with all helicopters .

  5. For me , i do backward when it's just 5 or 10 meters to shoot in a clean area or if i have an assistant that help me to not put my foot in the carpet . if it's longer or if i dont have assistant i always do don juan .

I think that it is important to know to use these two techniques also the good way to go from one to the other without any break .

  6. marc ,

ask them by email and tell them you want exactly the same mount as me . they know my master .

they sale all the package for the master mount .

you have on the hirose from the master 12v + video in one cable . but if you want you can have a splited hirose from the master to bnc and xlr 4pins .

the cable plugs direcly on the master cable you dont need anything more .

a 8 year old guy can do this , trust me there is no problems to do it by yourself .

the price depend of the monitor you chose , but take a super bright , you wont regret it !

    then you need :

a monitor (cine III super bright or rainbow II super bright)

the mounting bracket for the master

the cable adaptor (4 pin hirose from the master to 6 pins hirose on the monitor)

if you chose the rainbow II , you need a little bracket more , with a integrated bubble .

ask them to make a center hole in this bracket to have the monitor exactly in the center of the master .

if you have a digital level like me , you can just remove the bubble , but you need to keep on the bracket .

it's like that on my master and it's wonderful .

  7. the master monitor cable is plugged in the monitor with a hirose 4 pins

directly . you just have to unplug it with small fingers .

i remember there is one alen screw to remove that fix the monitor on the master

here is the views of the transvideo mount on my master

    another view

  8. i have had one probleme with the bartech focus and the titan transmitter , it arrived one time only on one channel . when the focus was moved the titan starts to flash . i have change the titan channel and everything where good . the funny thing is that it's impossible to reproduce this !

i have retry all the bartech chanels in combination with the 4 titan chanels and everything works fine .

  9. hi , i have both the teletest and the transvideo mount .

i have to say that the transvideo is better , it's more rigidity , very simple and does not require any modification of your master .

the teletest is jerky (it's metalic piece , not aluminium)

the transvideo with a rainbow II RF super bright or a cine monitor III super bright are beautiful setups on the master and the picture is exellent in full sun viewing .

you have a hirose 6 pins on the monitor and transvideo make a small cable that plug on the original 4 pins hirose of your master .

  10. if you want the monitor and the digital level , ask them to put it in the monitor with the OEM version they sale (no more cables and small box rubbed on the sled). they have a good service at marell .

  11. i own a master series , and the bracket for monitor on this sled is exotic than the others !

i have try the teletest mount , you can put the cine IIIA on it with small adaptors but not the rainbow II SB because there is not the ears attach on this monitor .

i have put the transvideo bracket on the master for testing , you have more rigidity than the teletest but i still have some little problems i'm going to work on to have a good bracket .

i haven?t try the chroziel monitor bracket , maybe it can work with the master series .

the monitor is exellent i just need a better way to fix it !

  12. I have try the transvideo titan 4 channels in two setups

One time on the top of the camera , it work great with a excellent quality picture on 3 channels , I have noticed problems with the bartech transmitter on one channel .

The setup may not be easy to use with a camera raincover on the place I have put the titan .

I have also try the 2 rainbow II superbright with integrated titan . I must say that it was wonderful for the operator and director , no more cables all is in the lcd monitor , also excellent quality picture the same as the titan and for the director , he just have a rainbow II lcd with back battery mount and antenna in the hands no cables . 4 hours of work with one pag 7.5A.

I have use this setup in new york, irlande,Australia and france without any problems .

  13. this is true , the surface seems to be like a polarized filter , and there is one side for best stedicam operation . if you look on the front of the monitor there is the same picture on both side of monitor , but if you want a near 110° of view it's only on one side .

i think it's not in the manual.

  14. for sure the steadicam will not be the good way for that shoot .

on 30ft boats you can use canon or fuji lens stabilizer . and if you want to film other boats from this boat , the makohead of course is the best way or more simple to get in norway is the gyrozoom , or a ks6 kenlabs gyro on the handheld camera .

(the gyrozoom have focal limited to 60mm mini )

  15. I?m very enjoyed by the bartech service too , i?ve order a bfd on Monday , it arrive on Thursday at the other corner of the planet . thanks jim .

Also thanks to Don Wetzel from Palomar to have made the same great service with a M-one motor .

Both packets arrived at the same time . great job .

It?s very comfortable to work with this security of service in mind .

    :)
