Thanks all for the input. This may turn into a 3 axis Lambda on a jib arm or a 3 axis remote head. They are trying to avoid the complication of building that in some very tight sets/locations.

I've got a show coming up where we want rotate the camera up to 90 degrees on the top stage of the Steadicam. I know this has been discussed but anyone know of an existing product I can add on and control myself? I would like to demo and possibly rent or buy. Alexa Mini to go inside.

Aside from the great daylight view-ability, size and on-screen level with external sensor, it's weather proof design is what still make this monitor desirable. I concur with Ron's cost effective suggestion if one really wants additional protection.

Think he is saying you don't need to use the Camin transceiver (the C-Motion MDR) when using the Mini (or Alexa Plus,XT). Of course you can use it with other cameras

Yes, that is certainly the case with Netflix; I'm doing a show for them now and they insist on it regardless of whether the Alexa provides a better image. it is the streaming vs cable thing as you smartly point out. Or a fight over bandwidth with the cable/internet providers.

Did a shot on Fast and Furious 7 last year with a Libra Head mounted on a motorcycle driving towards 2 cars drag racing and splitting them. Video went out as soon as the bike started. Took my hands off the wheels and hoped for the best. Perfect!
