  1. To move out the last remaining few monitors, prices have been dropped and additional $200. The 7" is now $3800, and the 6.5" is $3600.
  2. Only 5 Gen 1 monitors left, then we will be moving on to Gen 2. Pick up the last of the discounted Gen 1 monitors before they are gone.
  3. With the new Cinetronic monitor the back is interchangeable, so you can mount the flavor of the month recorder onto the back of it. As for the SmallHD, I believe the screen they are using has been delayed in manufacturing, so it wont be available for a while.
  4. I build the Cinetronic monitors, and am a 600 member, so I guess you could say the Cinetronic monitors are union made.
  5. With the Gen 2, you can zoom out, and make the image the size of a postage stamp, so there will be plenty of space for level info. The size of the level can also be adjusted, and in the small setting will fit under the bottom frameline.
  6. The price for the Gen 2 monitors will be $4800. The monitors will be available to first time buyers after the upgrades are complete. We are estimating September-October.
  7. Yes, they will be upgradeable. The price will be around $1000. There are not too many Gen 1 monitors left though, so when they are gone, thats it, until the Gen 2, which will be at full price.
  8. We are offering the last of the generation 1 monitors at greatly reduced prices. This is the lowest we have ever offered the Cinetronic monitors, and the lowest they will be for some time. 7" 16:9 Cinetronic monitor $4000 ($800 off) 6.5" 4:3 Cinetronic monitor $3800 ($1000 off) Orders can be placed at www.film-stuff.com
  9. As per Osvaldo's suggestion, we have updated our 12" Steadicam plate to include iris rod holes on both the front and back of the plate. This will allow transmitters and other accessories to be mounted at the back of the plate as well. The plate is available at www.film-stuff.com
  10. We will be adding histogram to the new monitor, with a scale showing the values.
  11. We wish to thank everyone for their support of our product, and for all the kind reviews. Scott Sakamoto will be receiving the 50th Cinetronic Steadicam monitor.
  12. Only 2 days left on the Film-stuff sale. Time to spend that tax refund :-)
  13. Even though this is listed as an "HD" monitor, it is still using a standard def LCD panel. Just one of the reasons why it compares so poorly to the others. If you truely want the brightest, highest resolution 7" monitor, then you get the Cinetronic.
  14. Spring / NAB / Tax refund sale at www.film-stuff.com All items in the store 10% off until April 20th. Cinetronic monitors, steadicam plates, preston mounts etc.
  15. 10% all products at film-stuff.com until April 20th. This includes monitors.
  16. The Cmotion has been around longer than people think. The first couple Arri LCS generations were built by the Cmotion guys. They split off to do their own thing. My experiences with the Cmotion have never been good. The wireless is not as robust as the Preston. Even with the latest software and hardware, it still suffers from RF issues.
  17. We tested Jens sled today, and found the on screen level output from the XCS sled in high and max to greatly exceed the NTSC standard. The output on max was double the max voltage for NTSC, and the high setting was 50% too high. It is recommended to run the PDL on screen display at the mid or low settings, since these are the only 2 settings which are within NTSC spec.
  18. Jens, bring your sled in, and we will take a look, and fix whatever is going on.
  19. We have seen this problem a couple times, when the monitor is used with the XCS level. When the level is bypassed, then it does not happen. It seems that with some cameras, the output from the XCS is a little too high, and causes sync problems. This is only a problem with composite. As for screen longevity, many of the older high bright monitors like the Tiffen, and Boland monitors used a CCFL fluorescent backlight. These backlights had a limited life, and created a lot of heat, which shortened the life of the panel. All of our screens use an LED backlight, which runs much cooler, and lasts much longer.
  20. Smaller housings are currently being machined. A few of the guys who have been by the shop have seen some of the smaller housing parts, and have seen the new software with framelines and bubble level. We hope to have the new monitor at NAB.
  21. In an effort to make it easier to get pricing, and order Cinetronic monitors, we have added them to Film-stuff.com. We will also be adding monitor parts and accessories to the site, to help speed up the ordering process. We are currently working on a Cinetronic monitor arm, which will fit all sleds.
  22. New products have been added. Arri dovetail plates, 1-2-3 Arri blocks, Canatrans trasmitter mounts and more. Check out the new additions to the site, and the expanded options for mounting Prestons, transmitters etc.
  23. As a few of you know, the Cinetronic monitors are just a small parts of our business, and that we have been manufacturing camera accessories for many years. We are pleased to announce the opening of our new direct sales website, which allows you to purchase any of our accessories directly. The site is just starting out, so bear with us as we expand the site. We will be adding new products to the site every couple weeks, and are always open to suggestions for new products. Please check the site out and let me know what you think. Film-Stuff.com
