  1. Yes, the level is gyro compensated.
  2. The bubble level indicator can be adjusted for height, width, vertical position and color. One of the color modes is "automatic" where the bubble is red when off level, yellow when close, and green when clevel.
  3. Several people have asked for pics of the level, so here it is. Also some pics of what the level indicator looks like on screen.
  4. They will be tumbled and anodized, and look a little better..
  5. Was never a topic of trashing your product, once again you become very defensive... Just looking for some real information about what makes your product different from what someone can buy for $200. Finally you spell out the differences, so people are more informed. When people see something that looks the same as yours, they need to know why they should spend the money on yours. I dont know why it took so much to get you to write this out for people, but finally you did, and now people can understand your product a little better. No need to get defensive about everything.
  6. Here are some pics on the new knob, being cut on the waterjet. A bit smaller for those who like small knobs....
  7. i'm also up for a little circuit board erotica :) Here ya go...
  8. Not being tactless, just calling things for what they are. If you were misinformed about some of the things you have posted, then say so. Come out and say some of the improvements that were made, and how it makes the product better. This is better for everyone, it allows them to make an informed decision to buy the Paralinx, if they are shown the advantage over other products. This is why we have demo monitors, and why we invite operators to come to our office, and try our monitor out on their rig.
  9. If you dont work for them, why do you start of this thread saying "We have it hooked up to a GoPro hanging from a blimp". Why do you also answer questions about availability? Not saying the product is bad, just tell it for what it is... If you take a product, make some changes to make it better, and resell it, say so. Dont act like you are the only game in town, and you invented it, and say that everyone else is just imitating you. Its not the product I have a problem with, its the arrogance that comes with it, and the defensiveness as well. If someone hates my monitor and tells everyone so, I dont get defensive about it, I use it as inspiration for improvement. When someone said our Gen1 monitor was "As wide as a beer truck", we worked to make it smaller and better. Learn to take what people say, and act upon it to improve your product. Package it bettter, upgrade the connectors etc...
  10. So what makes it "Professional"? Please open one up, and post some pictures, so we can compare it to a "Consumer" version.... Does the USB connector for power make it "Professional" or the HDMI connector? When Arri starts powering their cameras from a USB cable, then I will consider USB to be professional. Also when they start using HDMI for their main output, then I will consider it to be professional as well. I would be happy to post a picture of our monitor control board, which clearly shows Cinetronic, and Made in USA, are you willing to post some pictures of your boards?
  11. Looks like Hisense had you beat by 14 months... http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/14/hisense-unveils-new-consumer-whdi-accessories-cable-haters-rejo/
  12. The Cinetronic level is gyro compensated as well. It currently works with the Cinetronic monitor, and adds no additional delay to the image. We will have a stand alone version as well, with an LED bar.
  13. We will make a low profile knob for people concerned about the width.
  14. If you do work closely with Animon, then the first mistake made is having them freely publish a design that you have comissioned. When it comes to the design of our monitor, almost all of it is designed and built in house. The boards, housing, high bright screen etc, are all made in the USA as well. As for our other design talents, lets just say that I have over 15 years designing equipment for the film business, and my partner Mike has over 30 years. Products we have designed have been used on almost every major motion picture for the past 15 years. If you would like us to design a transmitter with HD-SDI input, and proper packaging, this can be done as well.
  15. The reference designs come from the manufacturer. Hence the name "reference".
  16. I dont think you will see alexas on there any time soon... Having a background in camera stabilization, I can tell you it is much more difficult to scale things up to larger cameras.
  17. Considering the Tomahawk is just a reference design purchased from Amimon, I am sure many other companies will buy the same board from them, and slap their name on it. http://www.amimon.com/falcon-amn35254/amn36254
  18. The NAB discount is still running through Saturday night.
  19. Just a reminder, only 2 days left for the NAB discount.
  20. The focus peaking and false color work, the histogram will be done shortly. (it worked, but was ugly) The monitor will draw off of whatever battery has a higher voltage. Either from the 8 pin or the AB.
  21. Yes, discounts on the Gen2, and everything else. Discounts will go up a little later sunday night.
  22. To add a little fun to NAB this year, we will have a Cinetronic Challenge, along the lines of Where's Waldo. There will be 5 Cinetronic Gen2 monitors at NAB this year, monday and tuesday. The first person to find all 5, and send pics and booth names will get $500 off. Even if you only find 4, let me know, just in case someone doesnt find all 5. Some will be easy to find, and others will be difficult. You will need to look in many boths in a couple different halls to find them all. We will also be offering a discount on the monitors during NAB, and will have a discount on Film-Stuff.com for all camera accessories etc. Cash discounts are always available as well.
