  2. Very nice work on the other video as well Chris. It's never easy keeping up with dancers while balancing a 70lbs ping pong ball on a wet noodle :) . I am doing a Steadicam workshop in a few weeks and with your permission I will show your two videos as well any other ops projects as examples of great operating combined design and various operating techniques.

    Cheers,

  3. Hi Everyone,

    Does anybody know who the op is for the Anna Kendrick music video?

    First off, congrats to the op for a job well done.

    Second a question;

    At 03:10 there is a walk on to a jib/dolly or something. From the behind the scenes video I saw this is not a sound-stage with removable walls. From what I can tell it is a practical location. However looking at the lay out and timing I cannot figure out how they manages to get a JL fisher or Jib or something in place to do the walk-on and dolly back.

    Any insights or maybe the OP can chime in?

    Once again great work.

    Cheers,

  4. We also have a Scout and Echo. After receiving these cart they became our workhorse especially when traveling. We carry all our gear to the airport; check in all the equipment, collapse the cart (including the wheels on the scout). Pick it all up at the other side. They also store really well compared to other carts:

  5. A big shout-out to my OP Dash Adamson for a great job filming the commercial we did last month with Gary Sinise. We did 7 takes where he nailed it every-time. We only had to do more takes due to sound coming from the environment (we filmed in a working hospital.) Here is a link to a split screen using the footage from the GoPro on his rig.

  6. We would love to hear more about the show and behind the scenes. We have every tool available to us in the office (Ultra 2, Alexa, dollies..... you name it) but often struggle with manpower/time. It would be great to see how you design and pull of such tight schedules.

    I will definitely reach out out to pick your brain. Keep shooting, we will keep watching.

  7. About 6 months ago in my office through the word of mouth, we found the series Key and Peele. While we were quickly impressed by writing and acting, the cinematography really became the talk of the office.

    It was the first time we were seeing extremely stylistic approach to sketch comedy and we were blown away with the quality of the work. We quickly started breaking down each scene of how it was shot, what was utilized, what the lighting set up is.

    Fast forward to last week when we got curious to see who the DP was it led back to here; our own Charles Papert. So a big shout out to Charles; we love the show, we love the look, absolutely enjoy the attention to detail on every set up.

    If ever possible we would love to do a Q/A on your work, it is very inspiring. We will probably try to reach out to you on another forum for the cinematography.

    Keep up the fantastic work!!!
