  2. How do I take down my old ad (Market Place Page 9: "PRO II & Preston package for sale." I want to put up a new one, changed the price, etc. Cheers, Rusty Geller
  3. That good old Diamondback Meanstreak. Learned to ride mountain bikes on that old boy, had a lot of great adventures on it. Now I'm riding an aluminum Trek with 5" of suspension and 30 gears, but I bet 35 year old Rusty on the Meanstreak could out-ride 60 year old Rusty on the Trek. Time moves on and ya gotta move with it. Cheers, Rusty
  4. Bill, If I have to break up the package I'll contact you re: the Stanton. Cheers, Rusty

  6. Tim, I'm selling my PRO II and want to put an ad up. According to my member's listing I'm a sustaining member from 2004. Do I need to re-up the $50? Either way, how do I upload my ad and photos? Cheers, Rusty Geller

  7. I'm shocked. The Mountain Man. They guy who bungee jumped down the side of a cruise ship with the rig in in lo mode. The guy who ran up the Mayan pyramid pulled by a counterweight going down the other side. I'm broken hearted. Jeff, I'll miss you, I'll miss just knowing you were there. RIP, man: Cut, Print, Great Shot. Rusty Geller
  8. One close up from the smart side: I discoverd my 25 year old CP long clamp plate matches the holes on the RED top brackets. The back recessed Panavision-intermediate plate holes line-up and the front lightening holes line up, you just have to use washers. The plate is so long it clears the donkey box on my PRO. I did a big fight sequence in lo-mode and it was solid. My next question is, will the internal wires in the PRO post safely power the RED from the donkey box? By safely, I mean safely for my PRO.
  9. The Genesis has caught up with me here in W. Australia. Can I use any of my old Panavision film gear or is it all different? I have a Pvis dove-tail to Steadicam plate, and all the old film cables. It looks like it uses a different power cable, what connector is on the battery end? Do any of the old start stop cables still work? What size are the focus rods? Should I carry the recorder top-mounted, back-mounted or on a grip? Does it have an SD BNC video out?
  10. Preping a feature out here in Western Australia. Producer has a line on an AD named Kathleen "Bo" Boback who works in the US. Since I'm a Yank he expects me to know everybody over there and wants a reference. Anybody know her?
  11. Hi guys, thanks for your replies. Just returned from the shoot. It was supposed to be 2 weeks, went 4, out in the wilds of norhtern Oz. Panavision Sydney had no trimpaks or dionic 90's. They convinced me to try IDX 10s's. They ran the 435 at 24, but at 48 it locked up and cooked the batts. Most of the job was shooting a cattle stampede from the back of an ATV, so I powered from a block battery. The on-foot stuff was 24, so the IDX's held. I guess I'll look into trimpaks. I'm up for a job with the Genesis, is there anything that wiill drive them? Rusty
  12. Erwin, all's well at the edge of the world in Westren Australia. The word now is that it'll be 435's from Panavison Sydney. I'm hoping they have the Advanced. Either way I guess I'll ask for some Trimpaks. We will be running speed. How do the Trimpaks compare to the Hytrons in weight? How many Trimpaks should I order? Do they require a special charger, or will my AB Hytron chargers work? Thanks, Rusty
  13. I know this topic has been beaten to death, but I'm been living in Perth, Western Australia -- out on the edge of the planet -- the last 4 years so I don't get to town much anymore. I'm up for a big second unit gig and they want to fly the 435. I have a PROII with Hytron 50's which are a bit long in the tooth (old). I've had problems running the only, old, 435 here in Perth, and am wondering if there is a later version of 435 that is kinder on start-up and speed. The cameras will be coming from either Sydney or the Gold Coast, so I might have a choice if I ask early. Also there is the posiblility of using a 235. How does the 235 fly? Can you put 400' mags on it? Will the 435 bracketry & cables work? Cheers, Rusty
