Hi Mathew, I had a MKV Hummingbird monitor for 4yrs+ and it didn't skip a beat very robust, perfect for outdoors but now I've since upgraded to HD. I also think MKV's service is pretty good now and that's talking from across the globe too as I'm based in Australia. It's always good to have a backup till you go HD. Fly safe

Hi I own 6 IDX camwave systems and they are great in certain situations but I would highly recommend using the Boxx system for Live work, spend the money and get the right gear you'll have more hair on your head that way instead of pulling it out and looking stupid in front of your client because you didn't push them to spend a bit more per day! Hi All, I own several IDX Cam Wevi Units and have found a solution to the Reciever not being put on a table or floor and knocked about. Trevor Fabor @ Griptech in Australia make a plate which you can put on a 5/8 lighting stand or magic arm, etc. and it can handle the weight of a battery. They cost AUD$100 Unfortunately the plate doesn't come with the IDX V-Lock which you can buy from B&H $90 for example (the plate is ONLY made to fit the IDX V-Lock screw holes.) When you buy the IDX plate you just screw it together the screws come with the IDX V-Lock. Attached are pics of the plate mine are not annodized but they come in black if you order from Trevor Faber Griptech EMAIL: trevor@griptech.net.au or web www.griptech.net.au I looked at the Element Tech V-locks sure they are nice but pricey. Hi Sanjay Sami, Yes you are right he should be called the SA Battler, he is known to us Aussie Ops making lots of wonderful custom bits and that is hard to find. His gear is not known worldwide although he has sold some sliders to LA ops just thought I'd share for a change. Any guys out there have a good machinist in the states?
