Hopefully someone can answer my question. I am getting some rubbing between my arm post and the gimbal handle. I have seen a few operators with an addition bushing that goes on the post, either above or below the clamp, and spins independently, which in turn reduces friction between the two parts. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy this. I dont think its a Steadicam specific item but I think it will help me out.

Hi all,

I have job this weekend using the Red camera for the first time. I own a one channel preston unit, PFIU, which is generally powered from the camera itself. In the past it has worked great. Panavision, Arri, Sony Cameras etc. However, now that i am using the Red, will I have to power the PFIU from the sled itself or is there a Preston cable that powers the PFIU from the Red. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Hi all,

Hopefully someone will have some helpful info. I recently bought an Archos 504. It worked great the first few times and I had no problems recording video off my sled. However today when I tried it again the archos/dvr did not recognize the video signal. I trouble shooted it off my cable box at home and no signal was detected there which leads me to believe its the Archos/DVR adapter and not the sled. Is there some kind of setting I may have hit accidently? Please help!!!

I have been looking for a complete rig for quite some time now. I found a pretty good one however the asking price is $8000 for a 3A arm w/ gold springs. It looks to be in good condition but I feel that the price is a little high. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
