  2. Rig rental in Thailland

    I have a shoot in Thailand and production want to rent a rig there instead of flying my PRO (usualy say no but realy want do this shoot) . Is there a place that rent a descent rig , like PRO , Betz Rig , MK-V or Ultra in Thailand . (shooting Alexa and anamorphic C series lens ) .

    Got a set of those myself. Great for just walking around on ice but a full run to pace a skater, haven't gone there yet. Just used them recently for a Discovery Channel commercial up in Maine for "Howe and Howe Tech" and they rocked. Installed them over a pair of Sorels and had plenty of traction to still move accurately and gently with the Rig on.

     

    I'm sure Buzz's wardrobe contributes to peace and tranquility on the ice locally.

     

     

    Yeah... Pens, Stanley Cup Champs... Steelers, Super Bowl Champs.... What a difference a year makes.

     

     

    Hi folks , I used similar things for the shoes 15 years ago on 2 shows . You can see a black and white picture of me with this in the Steadicam Operator Handbook . Work good but it depens also of the ice . If threre is some water on the ice like when they pass with the machine on the skating ring it is still will be a little dangerous . If the ice has been destroyed a little by many passage it will work great. One of the show I did , we where two operators on the ice in the middle of 100 dancers for two hours

    The correct rate is 400 for food channel programs under a contract for the full anual production of food channel,we do evething....you can't calculate by day,only for general info.

    a french steadicam operator association has been created in France and and one of the purpose was to "fight" for the rates . We are already 34 members !!! I am in the association and I am Belgian and live and Belgium but France is my main market so it' s my fight too. IT' S GREAT not to be alone and together you might have more power to deal with the productions. Of course it' s also difficult because you are dealing with different opinions , markets an needs .

    Our association is the AFCS " Association française des cadreurs et cadreuses Steadicam" and our president is Jacques Monge.
