Brandon Zachary replied to Brandon Zachary's topic in Steadicam Marketplace - For Sale
Hey Afton, I just sent you a PM with the serial number and his contact info. -
Kurt, First of all, welcome! Not sure about the frying issues you've seen, but the two cables you need are below. Abel Cine Tech should have these in stock. Canon DR-E6 DC Coupler Switronix XP-DSLR-C Power Tap (Mfr # XP-DSLR-C) I've sent a few of these units to Terry West to shorten into the perfect length and he's done an incredible job. -Brandon

I find it helps if you have a short lightweight BNC cable connected to the camera and ran to the gimbal (and taped on) with a barrel on the end. Then run another lightweight BNC cable from your gimbal along your arm (one small piece of tape on each arm segment) and attach it to the back of your vest with a velcro strap. This will allow whomever is wrangling cable to simply attach and detach away from the camera and also helps with balancing. The other plus is that you can now dock your rig, disconnect the BNC at the gimbal and your free to roam around the cabin... Someone else might know of another trick though.

The Flyer should be able to hold an SR2 or 3 depending on lens choice, like super speeds with a Bartech/M-One motor and LMB5 matte box. I've flown a Red on my Flyer (with super speeds and the same accs) and while it almost maxes out the arm it is still workable. Granted you have to power the camera from the sled and get rid of a few luxury items...I'd recommend a bigger rig, but it is possible.
