  1. Jason, I know this thread was a while ago, but may I ask how much it cost to upgrade your EFP with those modifications through MK-V?
  2. Erwin or anyone else who knows... Any update on steadicam books other than David's book from 1999 (only in Italian?) and Serena Ferrara's book?
  3. It's been a year since the last post on the subject. Any update on the Ultra 2? Specifically in regards to the weight of the sled vs. the weight of camera plus accessories? Is the sled too light for heavy loads?
  4. I'm looking into purchasing a used rig and I haven't been able to find much info on the EFP. I've read a bunch of threads on the forum, but I haven't found any specific ones regarding the questions below. Is the EFP a good starter sled for 35mm? What are the pro's and con's of this particular sled as a first rig? Is it hard to balance? Since it can only hold one battery, should I have more than a normal rig's amount in my kit? Is it modular enough that I can add a different monitor later down the road? What about changing out the gimbal? The gear I'm looking at purchasing is: EFP Sled 3A Arm w/ gold springs WK back-mounted vest (or Pro vest) Bartech Modulus 3000 I really want to start small considering the only jobs I'll get are student films and low/no paying gigs at first and I don't want to go into more debt. I'm planning on flying 35mm mostly, but some 16mm and HD cameras as well. The only new pieces of gear I'll be purchasing are the vest and batteries. My price range is between $20K and $30K to start. Any info provided would be a great help.
  5. Robert, That has to be the about the coolest setup I've ever seen! I would assume the cases are travel ready? Do you know the weight? Is it comparable to Innerspace cases? I've been on the forum at least once a day for the past year just reading about every post that gets made. I find it useless to post before checking the archives. Just about every question I've had for so far has been answered (at least once) at some point in time. But, I'm sure I'll have more questions as time goes on.
