  1. Gardening helps... haha Go buy an motorcycle and go cruisin. Its something I got used to. When I work as an AC life can be crazy on set then all of a sudden it goes away. I have known to take up wood working (making furniture for house), metal working projects (modifying wheelchairs and things on my sled), and many hours of catching up with what is on my DVR. The great things about the little projects is it betters you by you learning more about your system, makes a better kit, you learn a new skill which can come in handy on a set, and keeps you busy. Also get an onboard recorder then cut up your stuff and make a new reel. You can find yourself wasting many of hours doing that.
  2. ohh yea I thought of the voltage regulator... I use IDX batts and trying to avoid multiple battery types when I get around to modifying them I for sure send you pics...
  3. Jess, I have that monitor and I love it!! I will get an IDX plate from batteriesforbroadcast.com and will make handles for them and put a baby pin on the bottom. They have a kick stand and screw in base very good for the price!! I actually bought 2 of them, one of the director and one for an AC or a dolly grip for when I'm on the rickshaw or doing driving shots...
  4. Sim Video sells an awesome handle that goes on the top and then has an eyepiece holder its really awesome... You can contact Cliff Hsui 323-978-9018 chsui@simvideo.com the call it the cheese handle... Here are some videos of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhG4dfwXfeQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_NISTOfpjU Its also great because it keeps the top open and helps prevent overheating
  5. Does anyone know what the deal is with using copyrighted music for your reel an then putting it on your website??
  6. I like to use a figure 8 that you would use for climbing on the middle back or right shoulder it keeps if from taking out and slack that you from the front of you and then velcro tap on the cable and on the camera and such keeps the cable in place
  7. It was great seeing you flying that rig Julian! It was even crazier seeing the bottom stage more with the top camera for convergence!!
  8. Jerry I love that comment "Idiots Happen" and your totally right about we are only making movies... I'm sure it will happen in my career that I will have to work on a movie with people like that, hopefully I will be able to leave because it turns into a job that I hate and I just want to get it over with, instead of a passion and a work of art.

  16. I wanted to ask people what they do to help train themselves in working out and jogging. I tried running with a backpack turned around to the front with weights in it but of course all they was beat on my chest and stomach. Can anyone tell me some things I can do to help me with conditioning?
