Thanks Eric and Jamie.
Eric, can you tell me why there is a 5 frame delay with down-conversion? Dose it have anything to do with the HD format or is it a processing thing? Isn?t HD 1080i and 720p 60 fields witch is equivalent to 30fps?

Hey all,
I was just wondering what everyone is doing concerning HD and your monitors? Are any of you using HD down-converters? How are you displaying HD images on your rigs? As always, thanks for the insight. :)

Thanks Stephen!

Thanks you Stephen and Joe for the response,
It was vary informative. These systems I would imagine are a small fortune for someone who is just starting. Could you give me a rough estimate on what the complete follow focus setup would cost? Thanks again guys.

Thanks Rob,
I was actually looking at some of the marell monitors the other day and I?ll look into the Sony Li-ion bricks for 28 volts now as well. Thanks. By the way, I did try the archives of the Forum and did not get anything on the EFP.

Hey there everyone,
I would like to get your opinion on the Steadicam EFP rig? Any input will be much appreciated.

Hey there everyone!
I own a Steadicam EFP. I don?t know much about the different remote follow focus units that are out there. My question is do all of these follow focus systems work on all the different film lenses as well as ENG video lenses and how do they typically mount onto all the different style cameras that are in use today?

Hi there everyone.
I?m new to this site. I own a Steadicam EFP. I?m just starting out working strictly on digital productions. My question is what are the best and cheapest wireless video transmitters and receivers out there right now? Any info on this topic is much appreciated. B)
Am I just being paranoid?

I have a steadicam efp. When I check my drop time and the rig is horizontal with the camera facing upwards it seems like my locking clamp on my mounting plate on the sled is under enormous stress holding all that weight from sliding and could possibly strip the little screw that tightens the locking clamp. Am I just being paranoid or is it a true possibility?
