  1. Hi Matteo, I own an A1 but have never really felt the gimbal to be its limiting factor, more so the lack of adjustability which is why I've recently converted the base to a MK-V conversion. I have topped out the G50's weight range, and felt this to be the top of the sled as well, but never really felt the gimbal to be straining. I'm just wondering what you have felt when flying at high weights?
  2. Hey Alan Sounds interesting. Have you seen a picture through it yet and what distances and latency are you getting? Really small. I like. Pete.
  3. Hi all, Has anyone seen this link? http://www.tnpbroadcast.co.uk/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=pro-x+xw It looks pretty good on the specs.
  4. Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was any new monitors released at IBC? From reading a few posts a while ago it sounded like Marshall had something new coming out but I haven't seen anything yet. Cheers guys, Shep.
  5. Hi William, Just interested, when you say "a compact size monitor" what size do you like. I'm using a 7inch LCD now which I feel is nice, but just interested in what other operators like. I'm toying with the idea of getting the Marshall 6.5' but because it's only 4:3 am scared it'll be too small. Cheers, Shep.
  6. Hi All, I do a lot of Betacam operating and was wondering if there is a Zoom/Focus/Iris control out there that I can operate from my gimbal. I would even be happy with just Zoom and Focus but there doesnt seem to be many options apart from the Stanton which Im not a huge fan of, the J7 which gets a bagging all over this forum or the Vocas which is really expensive. I also want it to have an adaptor for both Fujinon and Canon lenses, is this possible? I know there is an adaptor for the Zoom, Canon to Fuji, but what about the Focus pot? or will that adaptor work for both or are there different plugs Any ideas wold be fantastic, Cheers, Pete.
  7. Hi All, Im a camera operator/jib operator in Sydney and have just done a 5 day steadicam workshop which I loved and want to get into a lot more, what I need now is a lot of practice. Im thinking of buying a rig but not sure which way to go. I only want to spend $20 K or so. Should I go the second hand Master Series or an Archer??? I mostly do television stuff, both betacam etc. and OB's and may want to fly a RED soon. But cant see myself running any heavy film cameras any time soon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Shep.
