  2. Perfect! All it needed was the little silhouettes at the bottom to be a Mystery Science Theater 3000 Show.
  3. I can't remember the last time I stared open-mouthed at my computer for 54 seconds.
  4. Hey Nils. We all have to start somewhere. I ordered a different version from the same company but haven't received it yet. I ordered it so I could practise more often. I've heard good things about the rigs; at least for the price. I have been renting rigs for work over the last year, but I know that I need more practise and thought I'd give it a try. I'd like to get your impressions of the rig as you put it through its' paces. Good luck! Chuck
  5. Here's one from the grip department. Chuck Moran
  6. I've ordered the EFP training video being re-released by Tiffen. Does anyone know how it compares to the advanced techniques video with Jerry Holway being sold at B and H?: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1539...Techniques.html Would it be worth getting both? Thanks, Chuck Moran
  7. I'm new to the Forum and found mention of a forthcoming training video in the archives from almost four years ago: http://www.steadicamforum.com/forums/index...opic=489&hl The part of the thread I was wondering about stated: "..... Charles Papert will be doing another training video in the autumn, so look out for it." Was wondering if this actually occurred or not. Thanks Chuck Moran
  8. To all, I'm trying to get a copy of Steadicam:Techniques and aesthetics by Serena Ferrara. Does anyone have a copy they would be willing to part with? The book is out of print and unavailable everywhere I've looked. Even on sites that say they do have it. Serena Ferrara gave me a few places to look for a new copy of the book, but no joy. A used book would be just fine. C'mon, lighten up that bookshelf! Also would love any recommendations on current books on the craft if any? Thanks, Chuck Moran
  9. Chris Fawcett has some great insights into going barefoot in his very interesting Posture article. http://steadivision.com/steadipos2.pdf There's a lot to be said for being bare of foot, but as Chris concludes in the foot section of the article: "We evolved to walk barefoot on savannah, not concrete, so shoes are a modern necessity." The article is worth a read if you haven't already done so. Chuck Moran
