  1. Hi all,

would you consider IDX CamWave for live event.

It was great as video assist on numerous HD shoots.

Recently I've tried it in one television studio 50x50 meters, metal construction, lights etc.... full signal always.

Now I'm considering to work with it on one live show instead of triax.

does anyone have any experience with it on live events?

    thanks

  2. John,

Don't know how it looks, I do not have it. I was just considering it since it offers nice specs for the price (on the web site).

That is why I asked here if anyone has any experience with it.

Did you see it, tried it?

They will have new (slimmer) motor soon as I was told.

    thanks

  3. Hi,

you can order just the connectors directly from lemo. I bough 6pin for RED and 3pin for Ultra. It cost me something like 30$ a piece. For the cable, there are various types of course. I bought microphone cables "PROEL" brand which are very flexible.

think that minimum order from LEMO is 100chf ( close to 100$). But anyway it is much cheaper than to buy already made cables

    and made them myself

    best regards

  4. Hi,

also had (have) that problem. It comes from ratchet straps in a place where metal comes in contact with plastic strip. Tried to put teflon oil after cleaning and it did not help. Then tried with dry teflon spray and it works for now but I hear it from time to time. Next I will try with silicone lubricant.....

    any other opinion?

    regards

  5. Hi,

I've been using a G-70 for two years now and I am very happy with it. No problems as described below. It it a fantastic arm. I keep it at highest position for the RIDE all the time and it is a great .

  6. Eric,

by the image in video you recorded and from I can see, the lower part of the yoke is not connected all the way to the straight part. On the straight part the threads have clear parts for the allen nut to come in and grip it firmly. If it is loose , and if you turn it it can make such a sound.

But , it should not have any effect on balance, I hope....

Try to turn that small allen nut all the way, stiffening the lower part of yoke to the upper.

    excuse my english spelling

    best regards

  7. Fatigue was not the problem as stiffness of the vest. That white material is very stiff. That was not neoprene what I putted in side but something like it which does not have memory effect. On places of hard contact with the body it became very thin. I would try some quality foam. I've used another vest in the past which had foam and it was ok.

  8. Inside the pads are two layers of "that" material so you can always take out one , and get one half thinner pads. I've tried that but it did not work for me. Also tried changing them for a material similar to neoprene but it "disintegrated" very quick. So I stick with original.

  9. Teflon spray at either end of the G-50 spring (where the coil departs from the 'terminal') is the answer to any spring noise. A big powerful spring is a potential musical instrument if any rubbing occurs... it resonates and 'creaks' a bit with the slightest provocation... (that's why the Pro spring cannisters are teflon-lined.)

I recommend a small dose of teflon if this problem ever occurs in any of the G-series arms. (and of course let us know.... we're looking at this issue and have seen three examples so far)

Can you please tell me what TEFLON spray. I have Dry teflon lubricant from "KontaktChemie" and "Wurth" teflon oil spray. Which one would you recomend

    Thanks
