Hi Tom, do you mean that looking at the sled with a top view the bottom bar and the stage are not parallel or that the stage does not have a 90 angle with the post? Amedeo

Hi Adam, the steadicam pilot is designed and built to withstand the rigors of running. I have watched the clip you have published on Vimeo. You have checked the quick release plate and it’s OK. A question: do you “feel” the vibrations in the gimbal (hands)? If yes, it could be an arm’s issue. If not, it could be the gimbal that transfers the vibrations to the post. You can see at www.ciakframe.com/runningshotsteadicampilot.htm a shot I have done running (not very fast). Have you checked with SteadyShot Image Stabilization on and off? Amedeo

Hi Jay, thanks for the reply and comments. Congratulations on your purchase: the Steadicam Pilot is a great rig and you will have many satisfactions using it. About the video I have published, I think there are some problems about holding horizon during panning, headroom and tilting. When I make a video and I watch the montage the first time, I am satisfied, but watching and watching? and studying camera movements in the shots?.I realize errors and that steadicam operating needs a lot of practice. I?m actually not fully satisfied about the dynamic balance I am able to achieve, but I also think that the most important thing is that I have to make a lot of practice and exercises and I?ll follow your suggestions in the next shooting. I would like to use an havier camera to have more ?allied inertia? and in the meantime I add the Pilot weights on the stage.
