  1. Mike, How much does your system depend on "window" and speed settings on the movi interface. Does your system have Independent dampening and speed controls that override the Movi settings or do they work in tandem like the current Hot Gear interface?
  2. Another price change 18,000 Complete functioning AR system.
  3. I powered the Camera from an on board battery. It does look big, but it really isnt that heavy. The battery on the back helped spread the inertia as well.
  4. Don't those knights say "Nit" ...or, is that "Neet"??
  5. I am reminding all of thoses potential AR buyers to look again.
  6. Just a side note... Eric is one of those actors who understands the process and is very aware of the camera operators job. Notice how smoothly and carefully he stands up after grabbing the radio at the end. His starts and stops are in pace with movement of the camera allowing the operator to be in the right spot for the continuation of shot. Having worked with Eric the last 6 weeks, it cant be said strongly enough that without a savvy actor, some of great shots we all love would not be so great. And the ones that could have, just weren't. That was an exceptional example of Direction, Blocking, and performance by the actors and operator.

You all know the background of the AR system... I have had many years of challenging shots with the AR and am very proud of the results. I am selling it for reasons other than the ones in which some of you will assume. I will stand by the system and the possibilities it has for Directors and DPs to create shots that may otherwise be unattainable even with a wealth of other options. Buzz
  10. Exceptional, I have no doubt he would have the same results with a number of equipment options.
  11. I ve had Tim's two piece Tastee Pod for many years... Sturdy, stiff and never leave home without it...
  12. I second that sentiment. Immediate response and quick turn around, or next day replacement.
  13. Using the 3.5 with F 65... No issues either.
  14. P90X and P90X2... the best workout programs without question.
  15. I'll be using it for three weeks in a Costa Rican rain forest... I'll let you know ow it works out.
  16. Iggy, Industry standard huh... I guess I'm just a "Yinzer" from Pittsburgh and don't know these things. The K-4's were all I ever used... I wanted light. I bought them for a film where we were using infrared film and the lightweight didn't have the pressure plate changed for it. I had to use a platinum with the auto base and the panavision Fitzac for ramping speeds. The majority of the shot was at 6 frames a second, the result was very long takes covering a lot of area... it became very heavy. The gyros helped the side to side movement significantly. I haven't used the k-6's so I really can't speak to there effectiveness. I've had the k-4's on many highspeed car rigs, quads, griptricks, and running shots... there were all I needed to help out.
  17. Iggy, it really depends on the mixer and the direction of the wind. I've had, "Oh god, reallly...then we'll have to loop everything".. and I've had, "yeah okay, we'll make it work"... I used two insulated liter bottle holders cut to size to help with the whining...no not from the mixers... unplugging during the take did help. I use two k-4's ... one on top of the camera and one on the back of the post below the gimbal. They just ended up that way the first time I used them and never tried anything eother configuration. Like I said, "It works great for me".
  18. Im sitting next to Tim Metivier who pulled focus on those shots... he wants to know if that was just as good...
  19. I've been using the MK-V sled for about 7 years... never had a problem with it.
  20. Iggy, This is the Pace 950 rig in low mode... not bad at all.
