I'm putting my entire Steadicam Ultra 2 Package on the market. I'm the original, single, owner of the Ultra 2 System and purchased it roughly three years ago. I take extensive care of all of my equipment and this system has been kept pristine. The kit includes everything from the Ultra 2 sled to M-One Pitch Gears.

Saw this on Engadget and thought I'd share.
Instead of carrying around a pair of uncomfortable cleats if the job terrain calls for.
They've got different variations of the product as well.

I'm putting my entire Steadicam Ultra 2 Package on the market. Just got married and I'm making some other investments, so some things need to go. Unfortunately, my beautiful rig is one of them. I'm the original, single, owner of the Ultra 2 System and purchased it roughly two years ago. I take extensive care of all of my equipment and this system has been kept pristine. The kit includes everything from the Ultra 2 sled to M-One Pitch Gears.

I'm putting my entire Steadicam Ultra 2 Package on the market. I'm about to invest in some additional equipment and need to make some room. My spare rig will suffice for work, so I decided to sell my Ultra 2. I'm the original, single, owner of the Ultra 2 System and purchased it roughly two years ago. I take extensive care of all of my equipment and this system has been kept pristine. The kit includes everything from the Ultra 2 sled to M-One Pitch Gears.

I'm making minor adjustments to my company logo and need some outside opinions on the design. The differences are minimal, but I want to see which is more appealing.
The main difference is the negative space within the logo... rounded... or squared.
This is the logo as it will be used.
Round
Squared
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,

I'd like to see him weave that helicopter through a crowd... maiming everyone within 100ft!
... He's got a glidecam.... that explains everything ;)

Check out on his showreel http://www.vimeo.com/7446449
timecode 1:25 to 1:30 . I swear he jumps over the bonnet of that red car whilst wearing the rig.
The perks of a lightweight rig... I couldn't imagine attempting that jump with the Ultra2 on! Either way looks great!

I've got weight plates that'll make an HVX balance on my Ultra2 ;) I'll get you the information for my machine shop guy that made my plates, low mode equipment, and everything else.
Call me up and lets get together next week.

The flash player wouldn't let me move around (replay etc), it kept resetting back to the beginning, which made me give up...
I'm on Safari btw.
Hmm... Noted. I'll look into it. I typically view it locally, which allows me to scroll because the entire video is loaded. I'll check into seeking for the video. Thanks.

Very nice.
A loading bar on the streams would be nice, but that's nitpicking.
No problems with Firefox + XP although there seems to be a button in the bottom right hand corner that does nothing.
Thanks for the input. Hopefully the videos load fast enough so that a loading bar is unnecessary, but I'll see what I can do. the button at the bottom right corner was initially for "fullscreen", of which would mess up dimensions of the design and make it look weird on different computers. The button has been removed.

I think 100k at Walter Doll is about 1200 per year.
Ya Mike, Walter Doll for my Ultra2/Accessories/Etc. runs around 1k/year. Low price to pay for what it covers. CYA!

A cheap solution for independent productions to achieve the desired "Film Look" results in investing in a Redrock Micro, Letus, or P+S Technik adapter to add onto their HVX, etc., then purchasing old still photography lenses off Ebay. Surprising how well it works... especially for the price.
Either way, the issue comes into play when attempting to use the standard film/video gears with my M-One on those photography lenses. They do not have "teeth" that a typical lens has and that the follow focus system was designed for. Instead it has grips. So I've attempted to use different gears, applying pressure, and for the most part, it works "well enough". unfortunately, it has tendencies to lose grip and mess up calibration. Adding a thick rubber band around the gear also adds more friction and seems to work fine.
I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas, tips, tricks to work around non-standard lenses.
Thanks,
- Brandon

I've been following the BOXX Meridian HD unit since its introduction and personally, I cannot wait to see this in action.
The digital revolution is here and it's time to jump on board. It's only a matter of time before SD is considered "Sub-Standard Definition". As far as I'm concerned, a Zero-Delay Composite, Component, SDSDI and HDSDI transmission unit with a built in Scaler and Down Converter for only a few grand is a steal. The price of a new SD only transmitter/receiver will run you "roughly" the same price. I figure, if you're willing to pay a few thousand dollars on a SD only transmitter/receiver today, it would be worthwhile to spend the extra grand or so to get on top of the technology curve. If you don't have the extra grand-or-so, wait and save! instead of investing into a unit that will be outdated by the time the man in brown shorts drops it off at your doorstep. I'm not downplaying the quality or efficiency of current SD transmitters, but soon it will be insufficient (mainly to the directors, etc.) to transmit to video village in any format less than "HD". Unfortunate.... but inevitable.
The unit should begin shipping Late February/Mid March.
I've pre-ordered and can't wait to test it. I'll post remarks.

I've got the JVC GY-HD110, same thing as yours, US Version. You can have all of your settings set to record in HDV, then just plug in a composite (RCA) cable into the top (yellow) Video/Y Output, and it will deliver an SD output signal.
In the menu, you have to select whether you want it to be "squeezed" or "letterboxed"(preferred)
http://pro.jvc.com/pro/attributes/HDTV/pho...0_Grip_Side.jpg
If you wanted to output in HD, you would simply get a set of RGB HD cables and plug them into the corresponding outputs on the camera.
