  10. Just curiosity, what is the condition of the tape? (very old, new,.... adhesive is still tacky or dried out...) Frankly, I don't know why one puts tape under the docking ring to prevent it from slipping. I don't. Manufacturers don't.
  11. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Leg-Assembly-Parts-Accessories/ci/399/N/4075788753 Hope it helps! Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
  12. If you buy the CameTV rig, you loose $1200 and a space in your garage. Steadicam Pilot is a good choice for you. It's tested and made by those who know steadicam. Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
  13. Do you wear intercom head set during operating? Is it comfortable? Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
  14. Beware of power Tereadek using non-Teradek 2pins lemo. Teradek tech should be addressed this issue. All of our accessory which powered by 2pins lemo are following standard wiring code. pin1 is positive; pin 2 is negative. Teradek is reversed. Pin 1 is negative. So, if you use 2pin-lemo cable, you will fry your device. I was lucky, PRO has 3 circuit breakers to protect. It popped out and saved my day. That's when I found out Teradek Pin1 is negative. Always bring along a voltmeter with you. Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
  15. The work-around is DO NOT POWER the camera before connect all video signals. Connect all sdi connection first, then connect all power connections, then the batteries, then power your sled. Power the camera last. Turn camera off, then turn off the sled power before unplug sdi connections when wrap up. This will prevent the ground loop surge which fries your equipment. Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
  16. Read this: http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=23243&do=findComment&comment=113897 Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
  17. It is not focus pulling. The guy is making quick zoom following the beats of the music. The focus ring is in the far end of the lens. The zoom ring is in the middle, where his fingers were on. Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
  18. Try this to check if there is a ground loop: Using a voltmeter on AC-volts to measure the “ground loop” or differential voltages between equipment. Simply disconnect the SDI video cable at one end only. Put one probe on the shield of the SDI video cable. Put the other probe on the SDI connector outer shield on the other equipment. Any voltage that exceeds 0.1 Volt can be a problem for your equipment. I use this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=843846&gclid=CMHE-peG0sgCFUGSfgodJKEKJA&is=REG&m=Y&A=details&Q= Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
  19. Sorry for the misinform. Thanks for correction. Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
  20. This is a SD system. You can get the pinouts from PRO website. If you own it and plan to upgrade to HD it is OK. It costs a lot. Check it out at PRO for the cost. But, if you plan to buy it then have it upgrade by PRO or someone else to HD, you don't save much. Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
  21. With that bump, no segways or fender can help. It is all about human error. Even the Segways inventor, he died by Segways accident. I don't see anything wrong with the combination of easy rig and segways nor handheld nor steadicam. It's all about safety at work. A true cameraman is an artist who tries to break all boundary to make/get a beautiful shot. Some have safety in mind, some don't, some too much into the shot in turn forgetting the safety. Be safe! Ken Nguyen.
