  1. So I guess it's working via WiFi... But how does it work with the connection? Is it a direct connection, so iPhone-Follow Focus? Or do you need a WiFi router on set? So it would be iPhone-Router-FF which is pretty... complex Because it would suck, if you're on set in the middle of the forest and your wireless hotspot is missing haha Henry
  2. Hey alright.... price for this little modification is probably gonna be $775 plus shipping. I contacted WK yesterday and got a reply within hours.. (love their service!) They currently have three in stock. Great idea, but like Erwin said... GPI's warranty is more likely gone with that.... Henry
  3. Well yeah a lot of people here in *Republican* Idaho got freaking mad about that bill! Now, our Governor Butch Otter is considering to sue the Federal Government and issued a "Idaho Health Freedom Act" Uhmm... yeah! In case everything works out for him... (literally) 'poor' Idaho may spend over a $100k in court fees. YIHA! Henry 'selling potatoes in the ER' Gelhart
  4. Hey I might actually need to rent a Flyer up here in Boise, ID for a week. Sometime, last week of March If anybody knows a lonely Flyer hanging around here, please PM me! Thank you guys Henry!
  5. Yeaah! Gosh, I saw this commercial on Tuesday while watching Lost. I actually had to rewind a commercial for the first time in my life, to watch it again! And again.... It's really cool! B) Henry
  6. Oh gosh... 102lbs is really messed up! How do you manage it with your PRO arm?
  7. Yeah, the model II steadicam is actually one of the first rigs by CP The vest is similar to the Model III so it might be something for you. Rebuilt means, that he modified the vest, (erneuert) Do you need the vest as a backup or as your primary vest and what arm do you have? Since you might wanna get in touch with a master series vest, they are quite comfy (at least MORE comfortable then a model II or III) and not that expensive anymore either. ;) Uhhmm... yeah Henry
  8. Robert, This... http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=11210 ...might be something for you! Henry
  9. Hi try to contact Betz Tools in Munich, they are a WK dealer! Henry
  10. Has this ever happened to you?!
  11. Hi I agree with Lukas! You can't compare the quality. And, have you found ANY Movcam dealer here in Europe? If you have a problem with your (future) Master rig, you can run to the Tiffen dealer around the corner. And usually a used Master, Ultra, Xcs, Pro etc etc is as good as a new one. HE
  12. Hi I am asking for a friend of mine who is quite jealous of our nice forum here and is wondering whether there is a similar forum for directors or screenplayer. I was unable to give him a suitable website so I'm asking you... maybe you have an idea. :) Later Henry
  13. Why do you want to buy all the stuff? I mean, not even the A-budget features buy their cameras. Try to call rental houses like Otto Nemenz... maybe they will offer you a fair price, so you can rent the camera. Don't buy a steadicam. Why should you do that? I mean for 7000$ you'll get a Flyer. No OP or experience. Or you can RENT an operator for a week for 7k. Try to reorganise your feature plans. henry
  14. Don't you know that?? It's Apple's brand new iMerlin :D
  15. Robert! You have to upload the video on youtube. I have made a similar video with my 3G... FUNNY FUNNY! I taped the iphone on top of the lowmode plate. Honestly, I don't know how to transfer the video FROM the iphone to the computer!? Henry
  16. Actually the first Smart built by Mercedes does have a very solid cage. There is that funny TV Show from Great Britain called "Top Gear" They smashed a Smart (first series) with over 70 Mph against a concrete wall. The exterior was screwed but the inside of the car was still in a "good" shape. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju6t-yyoU8s Okay... compared to a normal "Micro-Car" (Or those chinese cars called Landwind) Henry
  17. Hi I will shoot a student feature tomorrow and they are filming with an Arriflex 16mm BL. It's kinda old camera with that top mounted magazine (yepp, no Steadi-mags available) and it appears to be one heavy piece of metal. Uarrgha. Honestly, I have never met such an old camera and I have no clue how to mount it on the Steadi. And I'm afraid that the weight will move and move... from the front to the back, because of that top mounted mag. The dop told me that he might have a SRII in stock if everything goes wrong... Any advices for the mounting and the mag? Or shall I run far far far away? -Henry
  18. .... and someday there will be the PRO "Flyer" for small cameras. I really thought about that idea... :D HE
