  1. Charles, It is indeed about 10 minutes, some seconds of black before and a little behind the actual footage. So it is the same as your copy. So no extra stuff in there. Funny thing, the audio is in the beginning only right channel, and after some time with some volume change on both channels. It is a great documentary and indeed, Ted's remark.. we're talking ballet here'.. beautiful. Erik
  2. Thanks David, it seems it is.. about 12.45min long. Going to watch it now, best, Erik
  3. Charles, I have not seen that National Geographic documentary, do you know a way to retrieve this ? I really like to see that documentary.. Erik
  4. I didn't had this problem sofar with the LIBEC remote zoom controller. I have 2 of them, one for the DV cams and the other for the Canon/Fujinon lenses. The only bad thing is that both are a little big and just fit the Gimbal.. but it was a bit xtra learning to use the Gimbal and the controller at the same time. Erik
  5. BEST Whishes to you both guys ! Erik
  6. It is a Actioncam from Germany..., the latest arm looks more like a 3a style of arm. http://www.actionproducts.ch/ Best, Erik
  7. Good for you Philip ! At Matt, COOL Picture ! Erik
  8. Yep Dave, the diameter indeed !.. Maybe you should sent a email to Howard or Anthony from MK-V.. They would be pleased to answer all your questions. Erik
  9. It is more likely to found out if the connector of the arm fit's the gimbal of the MK-V. Don't know because some parts of the Flyer like the Socket Block on the Vest of the Flyer is not standard fitting. What i do know is that the Sled of the Sachtler dv-pro rig do fit the Flyer arm. This way you can upgrade your flyer system with a 24 volt sled and some extra settings on the sled for faster dynamic balance for example.. Erik
  10. Nice site kyle.., you own the Flyer ? If so, then maybe i can hire youre flyer in the near future in Orlando ? By the way, nice shots.., i love the tracking shots and for sure the close shot between the seats ! Erik
  11. Just saw that Steve already answered this post.., sorry. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Andrew, First of all, welcome on this great forum. When you are shooting with a broadcast or filmlens(35mm), the only way to keep the footage sharp is a remote focus system. A system like Preston or Bartech. These are remote focus pull knobs with transmitter and on top of the sled you should place a motor (m-one) on the M2 rods and this motor will turn the focus ring on the lens : left or right. This motor is ofcourse connected to a receiver which is also placed on the sled. Above the camera for example. As far as I know, the total weight of your mentioned system is already at the max of the Smooth Shooter/GC 4000 combination which is 10 lbs. A motor and receiver with cables would bring the total weight over the top. So BE CAREFULL !!! When you are consider to buy a monitor, a nice one would be the Glidecam L7-Pro. This monitor can flip the image, so when looking at the picture coming from the Camera with M2 adapter, the picture is not up site down. There are enough other options.. but as mentioned before, the weight would be to much for your GC Rig. Best, Erik

Hi Job, Again, congrats on your new Sled.. I know you have worked very hard to indeed earn this Rig. A nice sweet combination with the G50, you know I'm very jealous !! :P Erik
  13. Hi Lars, Ok.. it concerns not a G50 in mine case.. but I always loosen the lift on the Flyer arm while it is not in use. Somehow it seems a good thing (in mine head) to do this.., something like extend the arm life ???? So, why not ? Best, Erik
  14. Hi Keith, First of all, welcome to this great Forum. If you use the search option and enter there 'steadicam mini' and choose all forums, and under date 'older' you will find a lot of posts concerning the mini. Second, the video you mentioned is possible the Steadicam SK(2) Video. This video is supplied with the SK2, The Flyer and as far as I know also with the Mini. On the Mini arm is a tension knob which can be turned when the sled is under load, but be carefull. Third, perhaps Peter Abraham can give you more tips and tricks. He is besides Master Operator also in love with all the mini steadicams like the Mini and the Flyer :) Best, Erik
  15. Just saw this motion picture Romance & Cigarettes. The Steadicam shots in there were very very nice.., maybe it is a good idea to put some of those shots on the Steadishots from Afton ? Any suggestions ? Erik
  16. Hi All, Question : When you fly with a video sender in combination a DVX100, HVX200 or Sony PD Camera, how do you connect the video out of the Camera to both the sender and the onboard monitor of the Sled ? (btw situation on mine Steadicam Flyer) When I fly a broadcast Camera, i use the connections video out and monitor out. The Prosumer camera's only have video out (composite) and svhs out. Are there some kind of splitters available which don't bother the 75 ohm video termination for example ? Hope to hear, Best Erik
  17. Congrats Dave.. once again proof that the Flyer is useable with triax shoot situations.. This give me hope :) Best, Erik
  18. Unbelievable.. maybe a new invention should be needed.. The ShakeyCam or FloatyCam  Let's give Garrett a call..
  19. Nice replies sofar all :D .. don't think they rehearse that Thomas. I think Jacko was paying attention as well. Erik
  20. Hey All, I'm currently watching on the Dutch MTV a rerun of the VMA of 2005. 2 days ago I watched some shots from the 2006 edition on several european MTV's but did not notice sofar any Steadicam shots performed. The 2005 edition is full of Steadicam shots.., so did I miss something in 2006 ? Just wondering, Fly save, Erik
  21. Only with regret, Erik. And when the Flyer comes with a tilt head, a drop-in stage, and a collapsible post, I'll probably go back! See you at IBC? That would be indeed useful and nice extra tools for a Flyer :) Yep, don't know which days.., prob. 2 days. You are visitor or at the Tiffen booth ? Erik
  22. And a another Flyer Owner seems to be leave the Flyer.. :( Erik
  23. Well Stephen.. it took some years  but it looks very nice. Nice behind the scenes shots, and ofcourse the TV item is a nice way to let us all meet this crazy director !.. So has he started yet the following up picture ? Best, Erik
  24. Hi Nikk, all well overhere.. To answer your question : HOW MUCH DOES THE M2 WEIGH? The adapter weighs 1lb 15 oz Our rod support system weighs 2lb 10.5 oz If you are useing the low mode adapter, the adapter is always connected to the handle of the Camera right ? I wonder how you will trying to put the camera upside down ? Best, Erik
