HI Ruben. Welcome to the Steadicam Forum I agree with Robert, and my own experience, the small rigs are a great challenge, and if your learning stage, it will be a good choice. Of course, according to YOUR business project, you'll always have a large platform reviews that will be better. More competition, more choices etc take jobs. but you're starting, Your projects, your business, your projection and understanding in the business will be a great guide and other things. I think you have an excellent teacher and professional, also will help. But do not forget, a lot of practice, a lot of discipline, loyalty and ALWAYS FLY SAFETY. All the best.

Hi Bill Shared with the opinion with Mark, having a vest and arm system, does not translate to the operation will have a good result. The system operated only by hand and arm strength is exhausting and tiring easily. But being a rookie (and we all were), is an element that also affect the outcome. My personal opinion, every job we require new solutions. Location, terrain, climate outdoors (wind, sun, etc.), are elements that need to be taken into account provided. Maybe you attended the event from Sony here in Montreal for new cameras F5 and F55. Sure the F5 is a lightweight version only 2.2 kg body. but sum each accessory (optical, batterys, Recorder etc). Each project and your like DP requirement is different. But in a minimum configuration of F5, a final weight is considerable, to be operated handheld. I would think for an F5, a Steadicam Scout or Flyer LE, and "creating" a good settings according to your project requirements. Please, as everyone on this forum, my opinion is to help everyone in the best way. All the best. Nelson Villamil Cinematographer Camera / Steadicam Operator HD Tech. / DIT www.nelsonx5.blogspot.com

Another Ridiculous Rate Offer
Nelson Villamil replied to Alfeo Dixon SOC's topic in Legal / Business Practices
Guys ... LONG AND SAD REALITY. And this happens where you have a good level of organization and respect. the problem is bigger in other places (one more reason why I change my home). But friends and colleagues, WHO, WHERE, or HOW, we can generate a somewhat standard in rates? I know, is a crazy question, but for example, and I know many of you have the top platform of thousands of dollars, but is also market a line of platforms "light" but that also have investment value and more importantly, my personal opinion, the training and experience is what is most important and what we charge. No team (steadicam, camera, crane etc) is operated alone. Budgets and projects are different, it is true, but, but, but .. The same set of producers. I hope to read more comments on this topic. All the best -

Hey Janice Very good contribution. . . It is common to have many questions to make a good desicion. The total load capacity (weight) clar is important, as power capacity, and all those details. But the support and documentation (super detail) is VERY VERY IMPORTANT, for any owner / operator, not always available. This forum and many of its members also help quickly resolve queries. Thanks to all friends, colleagues and members.

Hi all I repeat here other doubts Zephyr, 2 important aspects of this rig, and that have been discussed in another post. Zephyr Power Configuration http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=15713 http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=15550 among other things, about the size of the internal wiring, power, real-watt capacity, all related AND I like to read opinions on use: Anton Bauer, Vs V-mount Batteries (different brands) All contributions (reviews, photos, experiences) on ZEPHYR is important. especially for those who soon will take the step to buy. Thanks.
