I agree Charles, the closer you can get the CG of the camera to where it sits on your shoulder the easier everything becomes. With HDCAMs like the 900 I will often use the dockable IDX v-loks double stacked on the back to get to my personal sweet spot, also if practical a Bartech is great as you can mount it further back and then also move the monitor further back as a result. I really don't like having the A.C's hands on the camera during a shot unless I ask for them.

True, but it's unlikely to make it into many consumer items because the charger would apparently be expensive, I assume because the amount of current you have to supply to charge a battery that quickly. We however are already used to dropping $1K on a charger.... Lets keep our fingers crossed!

I just want to get in line to say thanks. I needed a run/stop cable from BFD to RED. Sent an email, had a chat on the phone after JB had already provided the pinouts. He sent the cable out on Thursday from the US, and I had it by Monday. The following day when we were having issues with it, I sent an email asking for some input and Jim's advice, showed us the way when even the supplier of the RED seemed stumped. All this despite the fact he never remembered meeting me (despite the fact I bought him soooo many drinks at NAB, thought that might have had something to do with it). Anyway, thank you Jim.
