Thanks every one . I did get this from a friend of mine (thanks Brad) who owns a F55 so be carful when using this cable . "Re the Hirose power out/record trigger plugs: Like all Sony's NEVER plug into or pull out of the Hirose when the camera is Powered up, it can blow the board very easily. Here's the catch with the F55……. The SDI output drivers are on the same board as the Hirose plugs, so if you blow the Hirose, you can blow up the SDI output drivers as well!!! Luckily the F55 has 4 SDI outs, so you have some alternatives, but not an ideal outcome. Along the same lines, there have been some instances of camera's having blown SDI drivers by being hot swapped into the SDI plugs! The SDI drivers can be damaged if there is a (negative) voltage spike on the SDI ground circuit. The instances where this has happened have been with SmallHD DP6 and TV Logic 5.6 monitors. Sony are looking at how to address this, but to be safe don't plug into or unplug from the either the Hirose or SDI plugs with either the camera or monitor powered up." Hi Brian With everything you get what you pay for ok. For me to have SILENCE for video village is worth every cent and thats what you get when using the Boxx HD standard system .It just works.I also leave it at a rental house and commercial producers love it and don't mind paying for it . For me it's money well spent .I know have 3 systems (non broadcast receiver) Good luck Louis

I have to agree with everyone well made and for the last 6 months it has never been off the O'connor head love it.

Hi Victor Glen is buying a very old analogue Preston and selling a fantastic BFD .The m1 is a different matter made by a different person . For me it's value for money is my point,resale ,getting the system repaired in the future.Its a little like me buying a 3a rig and selling my Ultra 1 . Just my opinion thats all .

Well Glen It's your choice to buy a 10-15 year old system that may or may not be able to service/repair and as for resale in say another year or so is nothing .Good luck with it .

Janice Can I say I was surprised as you when I got the email from Don to say it would be 2-3 days turnaround . As I have said yes he has had issues in the past . I will report back on who I go with the other 2 M1's getting repaired ok . Great idea Pete I hope Don takes you up on the offer not only in England/Europe but a company in LA as well .

Hi Juan May I say I had this problem with Don some time ago But I contacted him 2 weeks ago and sent him one of my clients M1's and he has turned it around and my motor is on it way home this week .I think what ever problems Don had are now in the past (I hope)and he is repairing more motors quickly. Like you I have 2 other clients who have motors issues which I will be sending Don as soon as I receive this one back .2 to 3 days turn around thanks Don . Don is not great at emailing ok .Keep phoning

Hi Mate If they offer you the ipad unit go with it as I have used it several times and it works really well .

I have been using the dual system with the new receivers (Focus and Iris in the handset) for a few months now and all I can say is that it is just another fantastic upgrade from a great team Jim and Marcus (PLC) Well done guys .

Hi Adam I have had a cinetronic monitor for about 6 months and its fantastic the best out there .The Mk 2 cinetronic monitor will be the one to get Yes it is more expensive then some and cheaper then others to .If you want something that works perfectly for the thing you love then this is it. Isn't that the Problem to start with??I would want to know who the DP is and speak to them first .
