  19. Hi Ron

I am looking at a Boxx system as I have read you own one my question is With the receiver end do you use any other antenners with it to give you greater range or do you just use the ones that came with system ?.

  20. Hi Kapil Have you contacted any of your fellow operators to see what they are flying .From my understanding there are quite a few Ultra's and masters rigs working out of Mumbai I would have to agree with Ron on the pro simple to use very little go's wrong and now the Mk1's are becomeing very afordable and Alex this forum is full of information read it first . If you do go down the Pro path the post size on the masters arm is different to the 3a /Pro gimble Hugo from Steadirig do make adaptors ok . If you do go down the Tiffen path Lemac in Sydney have a good Tiffen service dept just in case . Good Luck A simple search on www.steadicam-ops /database . Name (Last, First) Home City Experience (years) Rate 10hr day (with/without gear) Own a Steadicam Will work as local in khandpur, Suniel Mumbai 15 / Yes Sami, Sanjay Mumbai 14 Pls Call / Pls Call Yes
  21. Firstly congratulation on your new rig I know it will serve you well for many years to come. With regards to your ProFormers why not use then to power other items like your receivers ,tuners ,directors monitor power , I have several battery plates with 4 pin xlr's on them which power all of my accessories. In many ways you have answered your own questions All of the current batterys work fine stay with them use them .When using the RED use their batts .I would be saving my money up and when your chocolate Bars start to go I would buy Hugo's base and then buy all new Dionic's HC's.Hugos Base is great just think plug and play no down time no machining No" if only I did this" or that his base is simple it just works very well . Thats what I would do . All the best Louis Puli .
  22. Hi Ron So I take it you now have a Meridian system right Yes it is large when you compare it to say a modulas . (In fact it is slightly smaller then the cam wave I have ) . It would be great if the new system was that small . I will give Band Pro a call in the morning . As for mounting the Meridian if you don't have a V lock on them (like the one I am testing ) I am finding it hard to mount it on different cameras (Alexa,Red , F35)If I do buy it I will have to invest in one of thoughts V-lock plates . Jen Yes I have a Cam wave at the moment and yes it works well in a large open space and has a range at 50 to 100ft line of site . When you say "Latest Version " ( mine is 8 months old ) how many versions are there ,and to upgrade is that just a software thing ? As for a test /shootoff transmitter/at 50 paces great talk to the stedi guild (Hi Dave ) I know they would be able to orginise it .I look forward to reading about it. Thanks Louis Puli
  23. Hi everyone I have been testing the Boxx Meridian system .Yes it is a great system about twice as good as a Cam wave (and price ).I have been told that Boxx will be releasing a smaller HD transmitter system for use in the video split area not broadcast quality at NAB this year .Has anyone seen it yet . If so please let me know as I will be upgrading all of my systems to HD . Thanks Louis Puli
