  1. Alec, Thanks for the sales pitch/review. Indeed, it's a pretty nice, entry-budget sled for bigger cameras. I picked it up for $6,000 a few years ago. Listed it for $5,200, hoping to move it out of here efficiently. I've had two inquires about why I'm selling, so I'll add this: I’m selling it as it’s one more sled than I need. I have two other full size sleds: an EFP which I had rewired with HD-SDI video and more power ports and a 3A sled which has HD-SDI video and a PRO junction box. So the PRO sled is my third and I haven’t used it much in the past year as I prefer the EFP sled for the bulk of my work and I use the 3a sled when I occasionally work with heavier cameras. More images here, if anyone missed the link above.

  2. PRO 1 Sled with triple Anton Bauer battery base and donkey box, version 1. PRO j-box wired for SD video. Model 3 gimbal. I originally acquired this with a 3a gimbal but it was not in proper alignment, so I swapped it out with the model 3 gimbal, which behaves very well. The base has a switch for 24 volt power and a built in power tap. Sled includes one PRO mounting plate and a monitor bracket with spud. This will ship in a Pelican 1650 case. This could be a good back up sled or a starter sled. It’s fairly simple to swap out the gimbal or the top stage, when one is ready to upgrade. Looking for $5,200 plus shipping, but I’m open to best offers. Hoping to ship to U.S. destinations, but will consider other options if this languishes unsold. I’m in Chicago and am open to having this picked up and, if anyone would like to drop by and inspect the sled, that can be arranged. It’s a great sled, just one more than I need at this point. Here’s a link to many detailed photos (batteries are not included, only displayed for demonstration purposes): https://carlwiedemann.smugmug.com/Technical-Carl-Wiedemann/Steadicam-Pro-1-sled-Triple/ post-8165-0-23791000-1454294674_thumb.jpgpost-8165-0-33653400-1454294687_thumb.jpg

  3. For sale: Marshall Orchid cross converter: OR-XDI-XLR, 3GSDI to HDMI Cross Converter w/ 4pin XLR Adapter. $600 or best offer. Includes UPS ground shipping to US destinations. A convenient signal problem solver. Has numerous threaded mounting holes on the base. The only drawback is the power input range is strictly 6 to 16 volts, so it will not power up directly off a hot Anton Bauer battery (supplying over 16 volts). However, it will not “fry” if supplied too much voltage (it just won’t turn on). I am including a p-tap to 4-pin power cable. Retails for $899 at B and H.

  4. Charles,

I’m actually in the market for a second Flyer sled. My preference is for the LE version (with extendable post) and an Anton Bauer base, but for the right price I’d spring for the standard version with v-mounts. If you’re unable to sell as a package perhaps you’ll consider what J.J. and I could cumulatively offer for the arm and sled. There’s also a market for Flyer vests from Pilot users who become frustrated with the less than completely rigid kit vests. Something to consider if this sits unsold for awhile. Although I understand the drawback of coordinating multiple payments and shipments.

  5. Cinema Products 3a gimbal. The gimbal is in great structural condition and moving smoothly on all three axes, however I believe the pan bearings need servicing/replacement. When I had the gimbal on a sled and under load the movement was smooth, but it did not pan perfectly flat. I removed it with the intent of sending it out to have the bearings serviced, but ended up putting a better behaving gimbal on the sled and this one sat unused in a pelican case. I’m listing this below typical market value given the cost or time for servicing. For those who are crafty and can handle this yourself this could be a good bargain. Only the gimbal is included in the auction. The 3a post is only shown for illustration purposes. Bidding starts at $700. Selling out of Chicago. Shipping to U.S. and Canada.

Anton Bauer SO-XLR plate. This enables "an external 4-Pin XLR power source (i.e. Battery Belt) to power a Gold Mount equipped device.” Useful for Steadicam Operators for powering cameras with Anton Bauer mounts from the sled, if a specialty cable for that camera is unavailable. List price is $108. Auction starting at $40.
