  1. Hey There, I have an entire 3A electronics system complete w/ monitor. It was the last one made by CE and everything is in working order. I also have batteries and charger. You can basically build a 3A with what I have everything except the Donkey box. Let me know if you are interested. Jason Dittmer
  2. Hey Michael, After reviewing all the posts on this topic, and seeing the perverbial $%#@storm it has created and being one of the newer operators that didn't make the cut, I still would like to commend you on taking a leadership role on this and trying to organize something nice for the community. Taking a leadership role is never easy, you have no doubt been put in a tough position. Between your wife, the logistic realities of Gladstones and all the Ops and others that would love to attend. I know that I would feel the squeeze. In any community Leadership is key. Please don't let the frustration of this experience keep you or anyone else from future action. Thanks for putting yourself out there. See you all at Cine Gear. :) Jason D
  3. Danno, Buy the thing. You will like it. Good meeting you this weekend. JD
  4. Although I never posted. gladstones I thought I should gladstones weigh in on the whole Gladstones/ other watering hole debate gladstones. Truth is I gladstones don't really caregladstones. Sitting around on the gladstones water, waxing and waning with gladstones good friends as the dolphins surface out in front of gladstones. Sipping on good beergladstones and sweet coconut gladstones shrimp sounds nice. But honestly gladstones. I'll do whatever. Gladstones or some other place gladstones. Count me in. 5. Sven, I have Rob's cage as well. It is great. It will hold a DVX and the best part is that if you have a camera that just needs a little more weight, you can disassemble the cage and use the base to add weight. I love it. Buy one, JD
  6. Hey Tamara, I have a Pag charger and a bunch of 3A Batteries that I have wanted to get rid of but havn't found the time to post. Let me know if you are interested and I will send you a photo. Jason Dittmer jasondittmer@dittmerdp.com

  9. Hey Guys, I don't think that June 1 will work for me. My sis is getting married. Now I know that Steadicam ops are notorious for being gearheads, and I am no exception, but if anyone needs anything i.e. sleeping bags, pads, tents, stoves, ropes, crampons, jumars, ice axes, oxygen tanks, sherpas, or yaks. I've got em. So if I can't go I would be happy to help outfit "Whitneyfest 2006" On Belay, Jason D
  10. Good Luck Lars, Features are great as they tend to be longer projects and you get to develop a nice rythem and kinship with the crew. My two cents. As on any job, make sure they don't have to wait on steadicam. If they have two bodies, great check with the AD and make sure you are ready to go when they call for you. If they only have one body, then make sure you go to the prep. Throw everything up, make sure it works and is in the best configuration for you. Then.. make sure to mark everything so you know roughly where everything needs to be positioned to get a quick balance. Finally and this is important, attitude is everything. If the shoot is going to hell in a hand basket and production is a junk show, and the negativity is buzzing around, remember how great this job is and how lucky we are to be doing what we are doing and try not to play into it. I think negativity shows in our work. Again, Good luck and keep me posted Jason Dittmer
