    - 2 19mm Element Technica 8” rods: New $40/rod – My Price: $55 for the pair

I bought these used and they don’t have logos so I can’t say with certainty that they are Element Technica, but they are strong 19mm rods in good shape.

  2. Up for sale is a Transvideo Rainbow monitor. This is a great little backup monitor. The screen is in great shape and works perfectly. The housing is a little worn. The original labels are faded and have been replaced with label tape. The Transvideo sun hood is included. Take a look at the photos, they are of the actual monitor you will receive.

    Asking $450 plus shipping, OBO.

  4. Most of the directors and DP’s I work with call for either hand-held or steadicam because a certain look is desired. They want what they want, and it is for a specific reason. Steadicam usually doesn’t substitute for hand-held and vice-versa. They are each used because that is what the shot calls for aesthetically. Maybe if you are in an authoritative position with your DP (when you operate) or your director (when you are shooting), you can insist on one over the other…but I would hate to have to look at any of the DP’s I work with and tell them I couldn’t do the shot as they envisioned. I would try and figure out how to accomplish both techniques (if you choose to pursue steadicam).

This is a good point, so just to offer another hand held solution, the EasyRig looks like it could be effective for you. I haven't used it personally, but I've seen it used with large broadcast cameras and it looks like it could work out well for providing a little extra support and maintaining a handheld look.

  5. I bought a set of old Compac Magnum batteries with a Lifesaver Compac Magnum charger, and can't get it working right. I can't find much documentation online either. So if anyone has any info that would be great.

The charger keeps blowing a fuse as soon as I plug it in, and that is without putting any batteries on it. I've owned the full size lifesaver chargers in the past without issue, but can't figure this one out.

    Thanks,

    Thomas

  6. I’m helping a friend sell off some of his equipment. I would prefer to sell most of this to someone who can pick up locally near Philadelphia.

    Ok, so here’s what’s available:

Sony DXC-D30WS with a Sony DSR-1 back and Canon YJ18x9B lens. All packed in a Sony hard case. This looks almost mint condition. The DSR-1 back has been eating some tapes lately, so it may need some work, but the rest is great. Asking $5,000.

Sennheiser M2W 70-1 blimp system with fuzzy. This was used with the ME67. It is in great condition. Similar systems go for $799.95 on B&H. Asking $600.

Senheiser ME67 with k6 power module and windscreen. Always stored in a solid case. The screen on the end is slightly dented, but apart from that I can’t find a scratch on either the ME67 or the K6. Asking $450.

Sony PVM-8042Q monitor with Anton Bauer plate. This is a great field monitor in excellent condition. Asking $150.

Sony DSR-20 DV Deck. This is in great working order. One of the plastic adjustment knobs has gone missing, but the metal stud is easy to turn without it and if it’s a problem I’m sure you can find a replacement knob for a buck or two. Asking $800.

5 Anton Bauer Hytron 100 batteries in great working order. Asking $350 for each.

Anton Bauer Interactive 2000 dual charger. Also in great condition. Asking $550.

Thank you for checking out my posting. Please PM or email me with any questions or offers. My email is Thomas.Crescenzo@gmail.com

  7. Anton Bauer Lifesaver Quad Microprocessor fast charger with four (4) ProPac 14 batteries for sale.

You can't tell from the picture but the battery in slot #1 has red and green lights alternating which on a Lifesaver charger means this battery is in initial battery evaluation mode or low voltage battery rejuvenation mode. I'm under the impression that this battery needs to be re-celled, but the others come up with a slow flashing green so they are in safe charge lifesaver mode and should be good.

I don't have a camera to put these on at the moment, so I can't tell you how long they last.

I'm asking $450 for everything or best offer. Feel free to make an offer on this in whole or in part. I would also be interested in trading for some smaller batteries, like some Trim Pacs.
