  1. well...at least you've narrowed down that it's a female monitor rb Ya Know - I just took a look at what I wrote and I guess I would have to agree with you on that one,
  2. Thanks for the input Ron. The print connectors have been checked out. GPI has been all over the boards and wiring, tapping on components, wires, and connections. They even froze the thing to try and get it to malfunction. It has been in their shop 4 times by itself and once with my sled.-- a generation II with the Ni Cad batts. it has never malfunctioned for them. They think it is in the wiring in my my sled, which they don't work on anymore. What I now find off about this theory, is that the last time I had the problem, I took the monitor of the sled post so i could tap the monitor and sled with the vibrations isolated. Tapping on the sled produced no results, but just touching the switches, tapping on the monitor, or even gingerly moving the monitor, would cause the effect. When it is acting up it is so sensitive that virtually anything upsets it. When it is not acting up, I can not do anything to reproduce it. This is my big problem, I don't know to get it to act up.
  3. I hope someone may be able to shed some light on this one. I have a Pro generation II monitor with the generation III power supply. I am experiencing an intermittent problem where either the monitor loses all signal and goes black or completely blows out. When the problem occurs I can cause the anomaly by tapping on the monitor or sled. Even changing the orientation of the monitor by panning or tilting causes either the black out or blow out. I mean, I can actually pan left and black out, and then pan right and bring the image back. No it is not the tap. I can go to my grey scale and produce the same effect even with no video input. If I touch any of the toggle switches it also causes the effect. I have switched all my cables and batteries. I unplugged my preston and transmitter to rule them out too. Any feedback would be welcomed.
